If I had to compare Asja to any other scent, it would be Luten's Arabie, not Rousse. I think it is not so much the spicy element, but that, like Arabie, the fruit in Asja is dried fruit, albeit stewed dried fruit as opposed to uncooked dried fruit in Arabie.

Got a bottle of this today and it's gorgeous! I bought it blind on the basis of your review (never done that before!) and I absolutely love it.

It's different from most fruity Orientals, isn't it? The fruit is unique. Do you smell the wine? It really isn't syrupy or goopy at all. That restraint from sweetness is very classy.
