I don't find them similar either.
I was one of the first people ever to get a bottle of Isfarkand. In fact my bottle has the old name on it, Isfahan.

I bow my gargantuan head in the general vicinity of the Prince who is possibly the only man here who know what an Isfarkand is.
I must have confused another scent mentioning it smelled like Terre d' Hermes

I agree with the majority of what people had to say about Isfarkand being a warm weather scent. It really is the best use of vetiver in a fragrance that I have smelled to this date which is the reason why it is still my number 1. I just hope it doesn't catch on over here too much as I am confident that it will remain a hidden gem in the US.
