I'm not that partial to Chanel, the only one I have is Egoiste.
Chanel also make (made?) the Bvlgari ones and Tiffany for Men, and I like the latter ones better.

Looks like there's no "universally" loved Chanel fragrance... I'm thinking of trying out a Chanel fragrance but don't know which to start with.

Chanel Pour Monsieur Concentree. The non-concentree never lasted long enough.
I discovered the non-concentree in the Bay at Yonge and Bay in Toronto in the early 90's, bought the concentree when it came out, and last wore it in the late 90's.
I will shortly be buying a bottle of the EDT in Sephora.
