Your biggest U turn fragrance
Question:
Which one is it that you owned and hated from the gut (could be bcoz you bought it blind) and wanted to just get rid of it BUT you absolutely love it now. For me it is Dior Homme I posted a thread a few days back here mentioning that DH is so suffocating..i hated it so much that i put it back for sale on ebay...it didn't get any bids...all this while i was looking at threads in the forum...Dior Homme was mentioned in so many of them...it was a favorite here... I guess it does affect the mind..I wore it yesterday and saw a side of it that i had not witnessed in the past...and now i feel lucky that no one bid for my bottle of DH... Post your U turn frags...would be fun to read gupts Answer: First time I smelled kouros I was like Yak! ....the second time I was like What was I thinking that first time! Answer: Strangely this happens quiet often to me, so I will give you two examples: Guerlain Jicky EdP (Was completely irritated by the initial blast of baby vomit smell due to the civet note. Right now its my one and only holy grail frag.) Maitre Route du Vetiver (That raw earty vetiver note smelled very repulsive to me at least the first couple of test runs. Now I absolutely love the RdV s melancholic smell of rotten leaves and wet soil.) These are the ones I hate at this moment and from experience they will become my favorites :-): No. 88 Derby Christian Answer: For me it would have to be Perry Ellis. I bought it blind at Marshall's . I never wore it out in public yet, but I'm starting to warm up to it. Not loving it yet though. Answer: Ah, so that's it! The civet in Jicky was leaving this slightly putrid smell lingering in my nose. I haven't had a turnaround scent just yet. We'll see... Answer: How very coincidental. One of the very first decants I purchased on basenotes was AOS Sandalwood. I wore it twice and really disliked it. Last month after a third wearing, and at the end of the decant, I did a complete about face. Although, I didn't really seek it, after logging on today and seeing a bottle for sale at a reasonable price I immediately went after it and got it. I would say this one is the epitome of an acquired taste. It is very strong and lasting, very unique, and I genuinely disliked it for the first two wearings. After the third and presumably the last, I really developed a quick fondness for it. I'm glad it popped up for sale this morning, and really glad I was the first to PM the basenoter for it. Answer: Body Kouros. It went on that first time and almost made me puke. Now I can't be without a bottle. Answer: Mine is definitely Terre de Hermes. I bought it blind because I was just so bored of my wardrobe at the time and didn't like it at all. Now, every time I wear it I like it more and more. Answer: Rive Gauche. Got a sample 2 years ago after a purchase and gagged. Now I think it smells of confidence, and a care free sexual vibe. Got to keep an open mind, never say never on a frag. Answer: This is the catagory that I would file A*Men under. The first time I tried it I sprayed, sniffed, and then just sit in my truck like a dumbass for half an hour with a stupid look on my face. Needless to say as soon as I got home from the post office it went straight to my swaplist. About 6 months ago I decided it was time to get another bottle and try it again. Now, there are few things that I would trade it for. A few L'Artisans of course though... Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
