Your biggest U turn fragrance - Page 2
Question:
Caron PuH Answer: Without a doubt, M7. I had it, got rid of it, and now I can't get enough. Answer: When I first got my sample of Bois du Portugal, I couldn't imagine how anyone could wear it. Now it's among my favorites. I also hated A*Men in the beginning. Then it grew on me; I went through 3 samples. Then I bought a bottle. Then I used it about 3 times. Then I traded it away. I don't hate it, but I just don't want to wear it. A comfort scent, I guess. ______________________ Edit, three months later... Now I'm starting to miss it again. Answer: I have a U-turn in the other direction. I used to adore Chanel Allure, but when I recently replaced my empty bottle with a new one, I just can't get into it. From the shampoo topnotes to the cloying bottom, I just dislike the stuff. It used to be that the divine jamaican pepper note kept it afloat for me, but not any more. Answer: My biggest u-turn was Hermes Bel-ami. Originally, I thought it was too spicy, too strong, and could hardly stand close to the bottle. But, after a few weeks of having it and wondering how on earth people actually liked it... it started to grow on me. Now, I absolutely love it and it is one of my favorites. John Answer: TM Cologne - When I first tried it on, the drydown reminded me of a cleaning product I used when I worked at a summer camp a few summers ago. Then I tried it again several months later & I didn't get that cleaning product vibe at all! Bvlgari Black - I used to think this stuff was too weird to wear. Now I can't get enough!!! Needless to say as soon as I got home from the post office it went straight to my swaplist. About 6 months ago I decided it was time to get another bottle and try it again. Now, there are few things that I would trade it for. A few L'Artisans of course though... I'm with Thrax on that. A*men's initial blast could almost peel off paint, but I eventually found out that it has a very impressive drydown. I'd guess that many A*men haters ralphed and washed it off too soon to even get to a drydown. Then again, it is very strong, so it's understandably divisive. So they should simply sell it to me, cheap! I'd say another one for me is JOOP. At first I just didn't care for it. Now I think it's possibly the worst ever. Answer: Totally agree about Joop. I remembered smelling it long ago and thinking it was only so-so. Then, I received a sample and used it on myself and couldn't wait for it to wear off (with a little help from two showers and a scrubbing loofa). It's one of those that REALLY didn't mix well on me. Some others that I'm still waiting for my u-turn but just cannot get into: Caron PuH and Yatagan. I really want to like them but something about it just isn't happening. Lanvin's Arpege PH is another. Answer: When I first bought Burberry Brit for Men I was not very impressed, but now I absolutely love it. Perhaps it needed the colder weather to bring out it's beauty (I purchased it earlier this year during the summer). I actually didn't like it at all when I first smelled it. But then something always made me sniff this one out whenever I'd go to the mall. Finally one day something clicked & I understood the scent, & couldn't get my hands on it fast enough. I still adore it. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
