Floral fragrances for men - Page 3
Question:
Eau de Colognes:
Acqua di Parma (citrus&rose), Acqua di Genova (white florals), Asprey Purple Water
fresh, light: Ferragamo Incanto, Rodier pour homme, CdG 3, d'Orsay Etiquette Bleue (Neroli)
dandyish, floral-centered: Crown Perfumery Sandringham, d'Orsay Tilleul, Czech&Speake No.88, L'Artisan Voleur des Roses, Creed Ambre Cannelle (thick), Alexander Julian Colors for Men (floriental), Goutal Sables (Immortelle), Burberry Brit for Men, Dior homme (Iris), Creed Royal Delight (Rose, Jasmine,Violet), Etro Via Verri (Rose) .
classic masculine+floral: R de Capucci (suave rose&jasmine), Richard James EdT (tuberose&suede), Trussardi Uomo (rose&leather), Maxim's pour homme (white floral&wood)
really really special: Dukes of Pall Mall Cotswold (they only thing still available is the Aftershave). Best white floral for men yet.

Answer:
Some top tips from the_good_life. I even bought some Dukes of Pall Mall Cotswold on your review and the enigma that is the Baron de Charlus - not entirely convinced yet Tom, but still trying.
I really go for rose, jasmine, neroli, iris and (above all) violet.
Just a couple to add;
Fresh Hombre de Flores series - they attempt to have floral notes as the centre-point of the fragrance without tying it to darker basenotes. I picked up the Narcissus, Jasmin and Tuberose scents for pennies on ebay over the last month. Very summery and wearable. Hard to describe entirely accurately - like eau de cologne without the citrus(?)
Castile by Penhaligon's - a rose/neroli accord in the heartnotes that can lift the spirits on the dullest day.
Don't forget the classic women's fragrances that can be worn by some men, in some environments, at some times - I wouldn't wear Apres L'Ondee over a game of darts or a business meeting, but on a Sunday afternoon ...

Answer:
Aramis 900 has a prominent rose note, in an overall manly composition...

Answer:
I'll third Fresh's Hombre de Flores series, and also put forward Neutron by Ajmal. My workmate just brought some of this back for me from Dubai and it's absolutely lovely! Just imagine a musky bouquet of spring and summer flowers, but designed by men, and that's what you get

Answer:
D.R. Harris - English Bouquet

Answer:
Rose 31 - Le Labo
Great "masculine" rose.

Answer:
I would love to try them but much of them very hard to find a test on the European market

Answer:
There is only one real floral on the market for men and that is Givenchys Insense'....not that Ultramarine crap though. Other mens fragrances may have "floral notes" in them but they cannot by any stretch of the imagination be considered "florals". Like i just said, the only one that can be considered a floral is Insense' by Givenchy.

I have read here that this indeed is too 'floral' for men and therefore i just bought this blind...i had been looking for this for a while now and finally grabbed one on ebay...cant wait to try it....Hope it doesnt disappoint...

gupts

Answer:
I don't think it will, Gupts. Great scent, and I think I smell cedar in its base but I can't be sure. I should probably try to find the notes somewhere. All the same, Insense is very addicting and I bet you'll really like it. Very sunny, pastoral, and with a slight sweetness the way flowers are slightly and addictingly sweet when smelled.
