Spraying Cologne on Shirts
Question:
Would you or won't you? (Spray cologne on your shirts)

Answer:
I remember reading somewhere, that certain scents can stain clothing...
However, sometimes when I have a low sillage scent I'm wearing, I spray and walk into a scent, with a shirt on.

Answer:
I do spray frags on my shirts, however some do stain,f.e Patou, Aramis, Givenchy Gentleman(on white); not permanent, but for the day, once dried.
On a positive note, frags last longer on fabric then on skin(my skin at least)

Answer:
I remember Spark for men By Clairborn does stain. That's what I've heard.

Answer:
I would/do because it increases longevity. It doesn't stain, nor cause any negative effects on my day so there is nothing bad to say about it. I've sprayed dark stuff like Chergui and it doesn't leave a mark.

Answer:
Yeah I spray on cloths, usually don't put it on skin unless it hits the neck a little.

Answer:
I never do because I usually get more projection when I spray on my skin. Also, A lot of it gets absorbed by the shirt when I put it on right after I spray so in reality the shirt soaks up much of the fragrance either way.

Answer:
I don't apply any on clothes because then it can't interact with skin chemistry.
Also, over time clothes can get saturated with the scent and become obnoxious. Not to mention that some fragrances can take on a stale alcohol smell on clothing (not all of them do this).

Answer:
To all of you that spray on the outside of your clothes....STOP! There is nothing worse (ok, maybe there is) than hugging someone and then having their fragrance rub off on you and suddenly you are wearing two fragrances. This happens a lot in clubs when you are hot and sweaty. I have had to have discussions with female friends that do this because I will totally not hug them if they spray on top of their clothes. I also agree with the importance of interacting with skin chemistry...very important point. Why not spray on your chest or wherever and then press your shirt into it so that it isn't on the outside of your shirt just waiting to rub off on the unexpected? If it's on the inside of your shirt you will still get the longevity and the interaction with skin chemistry.

Answer:
I am suprised by so many recommending to spray on shirts !

Fragrance does last longer when you spray on fabric - but in a growing number of cases, I have noticed that it can cause stains. It might have to do with the concentration of the fragrance - 4711 doesnt stain at all, while many EDPs might.

For longevity, you can spray it on your hair.
