Spritzer's Remorse...
Question:
I went against my better judgement and wore Bond Riverside today when my heart was telling me to wear Varvatos Vintage. Should have went with heart. You guys ever spray and then regret? I did not regret the Bond Central Park I wore on Saturday. WOW. That's my personal favorite scent. Answer: I sure do get spritzer's regret. At the beginning of last week I put on Etro's Vetiver and it was fantastic for a full day. The next day I wore an oriental I can't remember, and the day after that Diptyque's Olène. Both of those days I missed the sharp woody quality of vetiver. One of those days I wore the same sweater I'd had on with the Etro, and the sweater smelled more to my liking than I did. A frustrating reminder that I'd wished I had something else on. --Chris -------------------------------------- Furthermore, and as a way of contrast, I might point out that there are probably members here who never ever have a shred of spritzer's remorse. I read Scentemental's and Pluran's posts to the SOTD thread, and they're using superlatives to describe their daily picks, which are always the best of the time, genre, or element in question. Those guys have scent life by the tail! --Chris Answer: Originally Posted by DustB I sure do get spritzer's regret . . . Answer: OH yes - many times I've walked out of the house with something rich & strong only to realize that it's another 90 degree sunny day in Miami & my scent will be choking me by the time I get to my destination... I refuse to wear light summery scents all year long...so I guess I've got it coming to me..? Answer: ...and another thing...I'm wearing Bvlgari PH for the first time in ages and I'M FLAT-OUT LOVING IT! This was a fave of mine about 9 years ago, and I'm glad I repurchased it. I think I paid $20 for a 3.4 OZ at TJ Maxx. There's a sweet note in here that I did not remember...about 6-7 sprays and it's holding up very well. Answer: Yes, I do have spritzer's remorse every now and then, but most of the time I'm able to avoid it. There are days when I take like 30 minutes just to figure out which fragrance I'll be wearing, and even though that process can be very frustrating (esp. if you don't have much time left), it does usually assure me that I won't be wearing something I regret later. However, I often spray on another scent in the evening or even before that, just because what I was wearing is starting to bore me. It can be really challenging to actually match your fragrance with your mood, time of the year, etc. Answer: I have been being tormented by "spritzer's remorse' lately. Unfortunately, every time I put on a "designer fragrance", I do regret it few minutes ago. Reason for that: I remember the great "niche fragrances" I own and that are incomparable. So often I have to shower again and put the right one on... This is kind of "psychopathological", if this word exists in English. Answer: Yeah....like right now... Norma kamali Incense and Norma Kamali... YUCK...IMO. Answer: Originally Posted by rjrober22 Yeah....like right now... Norma kamali Incense and Norma Kamali... YUCK...IMO.
