Question:
I've tried this, but on me it smells just like Davidoff Zino, which I own a bottle of. It has a strong orange edge with a vanilla-like underpinning. Does anyone else get the Zino similarity?

Answer:
This is one of those threads that contributes to the "overhyped frags" threads. But now I'm all excited too and am going to have to go dig up my TdH sample and try it again. I tried it some time ago and it didn't wow me but I do see where everyone is coming from. I also don't get enough of a pot similarity to be worried about wearing it in public.

I sprayed a TdH tester on my wrist this past weekend at Neiman Marcus in Atlanta. While the scent was interesting there was a familiarity that I just couldn't place. The longevity and sillage were both strong. After about an hour, it dawned on me. The fragrance was very similar to ........ pickle juice! But not real pickle juice - more like the 'scratch and sniff' pickle scent I remember as kid (some game I had as a child had a bunch of scratch and sniff dots on it).
This one's not for me.

Terre is my favorite scent and nothing in this beautiful frag reminds me of weed.Be careful with the comparisation terre/weed.Terre = nature,Atlas ceder and minerals;its a beauty!

If forced to select a signature fragrance, TdH is the one for me. Researching for scents similar to TdH brought me to Basenotes.
It was love at first whiff me as well. I sniffed my left wrist then reached for a full bottle on the shelf with my right hand. Rose 31 by Le Labo is the only other fragrance to which I have had such an immediate positive reaction.

I had never really been blown away by most Davidoff scents so I was mildly curious to see how I liked Zino.
I didn't.
SO, not for me & sorry, but I thought it was very simple (not complex like TdH) and didn't remind me of it at all...
Isn't it funny how all of our noses are so different...I think it's great.
