Dunhill
Question:
I smelled a Dunhill fragrance on a strip in this morning's NY Times travel magazine. But I see in the Basenotes directory that there are a number of Dunhill scents. Which one was this? It just says Dunhill in the ad, and it comes in a rectangular bottle, more wide than tall. Golden amber juice. It seems like a very nice scent from the strip. Does anyone know this one? Thanks in advance. --Sherrie Answer: Sounds like the new Pursuit. It smells fruity (orange)/peppery. Answer: Yes, Dunhill Pursuit. But test it at the fragrance counter will offer you a slightly different smell. I have experienced this with Azzaro Silver Black. Answer: Yes, I have had the same experience - what I love on a paper strip doesn't always work on my skin, and vice versa. Thanks very much! -------------------------------------- Went off in pursuit of Pursuit - and, yes, this is the one... http://www.dunhillfragrances.com/ "tropical green pineapple and green leaves...scintillating cedar and warm sandalwood, embraced with the sweet-tart essence of orange leaves...sensual musk, rare amber, and smouldering incense..." Doesn't that sound nice? Thanks so much again. Answer: I loved the smell of Dunhill Pursuit on paper, but didn't smell very good on my skin. It's definetly worth trying though!
