Obsession Night for men ... worth it? - Page 2
Question:
I have a bottle of it and I wish I got something else. It lasts about 2 maybe 3 hours on me, it dries down to a distinctly milky vanilla smell with a sage or wood hint in it. Not manly in the slightest and never once has anyone ever said how great it smells. Hope that helps. Answer: It is nice scent problem is they made it so watered down (like all new Calvin Scents) it hardly lasts on the skin. Answer: Originally Posted by scentimus It is nice scent problem is they made it so watered down (like all new Calvin Scents) it hardly lasts on the skin. The regular Obsession lasts for ages. Answer: I remember NOT liking it, when I sniffed it. Which is quite sad, because I remember being crazy about the original Obsession (and all of those erotic Herb Ritts ads that Calvin Klein did) when I was a teen... Answer: No. It's funny I just posted on this frag today, because I sampled it about 3 days ago. In that post, I said it's Obsession meets dillweed. Yeah, a dill pickle. It's not a pleasant scent. Maybe the drydown is like heaven on earth.....I doubt it though.... Answer: Originally Posted by Duncan No. LOL. Exactly my rating. One of the rare few to receive a one-star rating from me. IMO one star=No. It was a blind buy for me. Regrettable and forgettable. For me also a resounding 'no'. I don't find the top notes unpleasant, and if the pear were more prominent I might like it more. but in the end it is just another weak, fleeting scent. Is the idea here that you should reapply it every half hour? If so someone needs to rethink the concept. Answer: I much prefer the original to this one.. I had the original Obsession back in the eighties and didnt care much for it back then.. I have since revisited this and wore it over a period of 3 days to get to understand the fragrance and notes change and now i consider it to be one of my best Orientals!! Answer: I must defend ON. I think it is a good oriental fragrance-not too heavy. I think it was the best new CK launch in a long time. Longevity is really good on me. I think Eternity has a longevity problem on me. Too bad because I really like this scent but it is so fleeting. Answer: Since many feel like it would be a nice scent if it lasted longer, I wonder of anyone can suggest a similar scent with better longetivity.
