I own all four of the Carons mentioned.
I'd recommend first 3rd Man, then Pour Un Homme.
Both Yatagan and L'Anarchiste are very interesting, but
not quite so simply pleasant to wear as 3rd Man and Pour Un Homme.
I like the Lavender note in Pour Un Homme very much, and even though
it's baby powder drydown takes some getting used to, I think it's a great
scent.
Third Man is a wonderful spicy scent, and I think it's the best Caron men's
scent. Caron is a house of quality, and they respect their customers enough
to keep their classics around years and years.
If you ever have the chance to try Caron's Poivre and Tabac Blonde in pure
parfum, do so. Poivre, in particular, is very striking and arresting.
