Question:
For the second time I have read in a magazine that Chanel Les Exclusifs are Limited Edition and in limited supply. When I asked at Chanel I was told that they "think" these scents will be around for a while. No one really seems to know. It took the Chanel boutique staff a couple months to figure out for sure that the parfums will not be made anymore in the Rue Cambon Collection.
I'm getting worried now as I've fallen in love with 4 of these scents. I wonder if the magazines mean "limited edition" as in they are only in boutiques and will not be readily available to everyone. Limited edition in my mind means here in the store until all sold out.
One of the magazine articles was saying the land where the flowers used to be grown is being sold to developers and so the raw materials are no longer as readily available. Chanel maintains their own crops but don't have enough to do a wide release of the scents to the world.

I think you have to consider the amount of money that went into developing and releasing these new scents. I can't believe they would already be in short supply. They are probably just creating a buzz to keep interest high.

Chanel Les Exclusifs are available only in Chanel Boutiques and Bergdorf Goodman.

OK. Went to a Chanel counter at Nordstrom in the Chicago area. They said call the boutique on Michigan Ave. and they can order any of Les Exclusifs for me. (They are currently sold out.) If anyone can't access a bottle in their neck of the woods, this is a possible option.
