I would assume, that part of the U.S. is very laid back & kind of country like, so people believe in being natural. Body odor is never acceptable, for any reason, no matter where your from, that's a little too "natural".

The least - Musc Koublai Khan, Montale Royal Oud, Geir Ness and anything by Oriscent. I've never smelled any of them on anyone, yet.

Portland is home to one of the worlds greatest perfume shops: The Perfume House on Hawthorne Boulevarde. Founded by one of the worlds "noses", and he is regularly in the shop to help customers. There are some perfumes here you won't find anywhere else in the U.S.
There's plenty of good smelling people here, it's just not as common as in, say, San Francisco. It's a beautiful city, and definitely worth a visit, for many reasons. I'm not saying there's not an "earthy" type of vibe in a lot of places, but that's a good thing in my opinion. It's one of the healthiest cities in the country.

Lately, on almost a daily basis I find myself on escalators with Hugo 'Energize', or standing next to 'Le Male' at the train station!
What I'd LIKE to be smelling more often is Diptyque's 'Tam Dao' - so I can ask where I can find a stockist here in central Denmark... its been on my wish list for millennia!
