I come across Armani Black Code, Chrome, and Gendarme a lot lately in my little corner of the world. With regard to the other half of your question, most of the stuff I wear I never smell out in the world. Not sure if that's good or bad.

The first one is simple: I smell Acqua di Gio on a ton of people. Same goes for Armani Code and L'eau d'Issey PH.
It's hard for me to think of the second question.

In Paris, I smelled Dior Homme so many times that it has almost put me off the scent.
As far as the ones that I never smell , the list would go on forever.

Acqua di Gio and Hugo are ubiquitous in my area. The ones I never smell, but want to, are too numerous to mention.

Being on a major college campus, AdG dominates. Abercrombie Fierce, Armani Code, and various Axe/Tag/etc. are also very common.
In fact, the only fragrances I've smelled on other guys besides the above were a couple kids wearing Dolce & Gabbana, one kid wearing The Dreamer, and on kid wearing, yes, Kouros!

I smell D&G on too many guys...I think it's why I don't like it...
I have NEVER smelled Ambre Sultan on anyone EVER.

Just today I smelt D&G PH twice...thought I think it was coming from the same guy. Overall it's by far the most common scent I've smelt on others.
Second comes ADG....and I few that I can remember were Givenchy PH (Red Bottle), Cool Water, Swiss Army and the girls here seem to like Angel a lot.

I've smelled Aqua di Gio the most. I would expect to smell Chrome but not many people own it out here so I got lucky and still get to wear it. I also smell Hollister for men a lot. That is quite a popular scent. Black Code is the last one that I smell often.
