Being in my bit of "fragrance funk" lately, I just said frig' it and bought it blind. The SA said it was supposed to be a cross between Code and AdG but she's full of crap. It's very nice ... but it's all about licorice. Or at least, that's what I get. If you're a fan of Lolita Lempicka or Douce Amere, I think you'll like it. Longevity hasn't been fantastic yet ... but I sprayed it on over an hour ago and it's still there.
I doubt this will see the success of AdG or Code, but it's definitely a nice scent and "bottle worthy", IMHO.

Going on a couple hours now and it's still there. I won't get a good feel for the sillage or longevity until I give it a full days wearing. I've only sampled Montale's Aoud (not Black Aoud) so I can't really compare it. And as far as the rose and patchouli, I don't really have a greatly "trained" nose to be able to detect them. Although, I can detect rose in Hammam Bouquet and Voleur de Roses and neither of them have similarities to me. Patchouli has always reminded me of dirt and I don't get any of that either.

It's actually nothing special. Picture a dark glass version of RL Purple Label with an attached flip top that opens like a cigarette lighter. If you ever used Paco XS or XS Black, it opens and sprays the same way. I'm not that crazy about it.

Actually yes. I almost picked that up along with the other two ... but the longevity was so bad, I decided against it. The main difference I see between the two is that IV's "honeydew melon" note really stands out. Something I don't get with the original. That alone makes it smell much more "summery" ... IMHO.
But still, the longevity ... terrible.
Also, to update my experience with Attitude ... I sprayed it on this morning and I'm getting a totally different scent. I'm getting less (if any) licorice and more of a lighter version of Code. So maybe the SA was half right. And I don't think the longevity/sillage is going to be great with this either. I sprayed 5 shots on my forearm this morning just to get a "feel" for it, and I almost have to literally stick my nose on my skin to really smell it.
I'll report back after a full day's wearing today ...
