Frangipani Fragrances - Page 2
Question:
Welcome, Wavering. Glad you jumped in with both feet! Please do report back on your frangipani findings. Answer: Frangipani is pulmeria right? I love pulmeria. A close second is the scent of an live red rose. Some roses do not have a scent but the ones that do have scent are terrific. Thanks for the info on Hei Poa. I would highly recommend that one. Answer: Originally Posted by kbe ::and here I thought this sudden popularity was all coming from my bathing in Aqua Velva every morning:: Well that too! Answer: Well, I ordered a sample of the Ava Luxe version and was very disappointed. On my skin it had a sweet, almost plasticky scent. Very artificial and not anything close to the Ormonde Jayne Frangipani that appeals to me so much. So I bit the bullet and ordered the Eau de Parfum from OJ. I'm counting the seconds until it arrives. I figure I deserve to treat myself once in awhile anyway. Answer: the Chantecaille is a rather lackluster scent I found sampling it. I am a huge addict for Santa Maria Novella Frangipane but it's very exotic, and what I love is that it smells a bit like Listerine! since you can't all be doing windows why not try Villoresi frangipane lamp ring room odorizer? Answer: My vote is for Songes too, although on me the frangipani wears off very quickly....that's not so bad though because the rest of the fragrance is just as orgasmically divine. Answer: Clinique's good old HAPPY also contains a slight whiff of lovely frangipani, i think. Give it a try. It's great on real humid and hot days. Answer: If my memory doesn't play tricks on me I think Coco Chanel has Fragipani in it.Not familiar with the actual smell,so can't say if it's pronounced a lot or not...
