Kouros or Body Kouros - Page 4
Question:
I received my bottle of Body Kouros and I have to say this smells way too much like Le-Male. If I were to smell it on someone else I would assume they were wearing Le-Male, so a big thumbs down for Body Kouros

It is the perfume producer I have mainly talked about here. And I tried to defend him against more than one hint to (or direct charge of) plagiarism which lack substance. It shouldn’t have been necessary in this community. There is a difference between talking about a similarity of notes, and calling one fragrance the copy of another. Plagiarism in business can have legal consequences, and charges thereof shouldn’t be raised light heartedly. I think you didn’t want to be taken as serious as it sounded, did you? [/font] I didn't call it a "copy", I called it a "re-make". By re-make I meant a newer version, which it undoubtably is. I never want to be taken as serious as I sound. LOL.
Cheers.

Answer:
I can't stand kouros, it smells so old. Body kouros is not bad those even those it smells like le male

Answer:
I am having a little problem with Body Kouros, when I first tried it I thought it smelled too much like Le-Male, but comparing it to Le-Male side by side, I see little in common, both are powdery but BK has what seems to be high dosage of Anise and Le-Male has the mint and lavender that is missing in BK.
I like BK but I find it a little boring, and I am thinking of layering it with another fragrance, because of the Anise note in BK it might work with Rive Gauche. At the moment I have it layered with Heritage and it gives Heritage a more thicker smoother edge which seems to work.
So thumbs up for Body Kouros.

I'll just peek in here, since I don't want to start up yet another Kouros thread -- I've given it a few other shots after the inital 'Oh Gaaah' loathing impression. Real long-term dry-down tests.
I've gotten to where I can certain appreciate the complexity of the scent, but one thing I -absolutely- do not get is the 'Very masculine' and 'Alpha Male' and 'Sexy, Rawrrr' associations with this particular scent. -Occasionally- I can smell beneath that floraly note (The infamous 'Urinal Cake' accord), but for the most part that pinkish sweet scent just dominates all the way through.
I'd be more inclined to call it one of the LESS masculine male frags I've sampled. Granted, that's a subjective determination to begin with, but I'm really trying to 'get' this frag and it hasn't been happenin'.
(My girlfriend was profoundly unimpressed, to offer a female opinion from this region.)

I am glad you bring this up because I share the notion of something rather sweet, something you would not expect in a cologne for men that dominates the overall impression for longer than just a moment. You call it pinkish sweet, and I think you have a point there. I happen to love these minutes. What surprised me in all these discussions: guys don't mention it!
