Kiton Men - Page 2
Question:
I have been praising the classy Kiton for the last 6 years here. Every time someone asks "Which scent do I use to pick up............", I usually respond
"Kiton.
Renato"
Unfortunately for them, few (if any) have ever taken my advice.
Glad you have discovered it.
Don't waste it in the office (unless there is a co worker you have your eye on).
Renato

Answer:
After seeing it discussed here, I included it in a order from Cuyahoga Joe. As others have mentioned, it makes a nice scent for work. Now I just need a larger bottle.

Answer:
Would anyone compare Kiton (I haven't smelled it) to Rocobar by Hermes, another mossy/green scent that I own?

Answer:
mikeperez23,
To my nose, Kiton and Rocobar are not similar at all. Cuyahoga Joe refers to Kiton as GIT lite. I think that is a good description. There are no sharp notes in Kiton, it is very smooth, somewhat linear, but lasts all day on me. Mind you, Kiton doesn't really smell like GIT, it just has a certain air about it that nods toward what GIT is all about.

Answer:
Kiton = Green Italian Tweed

Answer:
Kiton Men: guys in tailored suits, dreaming of the mountain lake while being bored at a business meeting. Ok, it could also be dress shirt and Thursday when you make plans for the weekend. The scent is very inspiring and yet 'quite correct'!
Some may not see this as a recommendation: it's 3/4 as good as Kouros in terms of self assurance at least!

Answer:
Just bought a bottle this afternoon and guess what?Already received a big compliment;from my sister! By the way;125 ml. for 56,00 euro!

Answer:
For what it's worth I'm wearing Kiton today, but after wearing GIT yesterday after a year+ plus absence, I kept on getting wiffs of GIT only to realize it was my Kiton I was wearing. I think they do have a similar feel (GIT is maybe a little more sharper), only Kiton is able to contend with GIT in the classy and refined category, maybe even surpass it.
Other than that, Kiton is going to be in heavy rotation this spring and summer for me.

Answer:

Personally, I don't really see the connection to Green Irish Tweed except in a very tenuous way. I'll try to, though, next time I wear Kiton Men.
I see GIT's basic character as sharp, clean, and buoyant; whereas, Kiton has a predominantly mossy character that is diffuse and sensual rather than sharp and clean. It's sensuousness precludes it from being buoyant like GIT.
I always thought it smelled a lot like Fahrenheit and had more of a Fahrenheit vibe going on--with violet--particularly in the top and middle notes, less so as it dries down.
Both it and Kiton Napoli are excellent fragrances.

Ironic the description as being "Sharp" comes up often. I've always refered to Kiton as "refined". Perhaps a better comparison would be "raw" vs. "refined" between GIT and Kiton.
