Lime fragrances - Page 2
Question:
Creeds new scent "virgin island water" is an awesome lime scent.....an awesome lime and coconut scent. I REALLY like this Creed. Can anyone comment on Trumpers Lime fragrance ? Oh yes. Tumpers Limes is one of my favourite things in the world. It has an initial strong blast of limes which lasts minutes then dries to a drydown which is quite faint and has little sillage but lasts for ages and smells utterly fantastic. It is a musk which holds the limes smell within it and stays on your skin. I use it when I need a low-no fragrance day, or in the mornings in the summer to wake up. Answer: Hm, I wish there was for lime what Monsieur Balmain is to lemon. Anyone here ever try Royall Lime or St. John's? They should be pretty good, but I don't know about longevity... Answer: I suppose today I am a Jo Malone booster, but Lime Basil & Mandarin (which I've only had from a sample, but I've had several of them) works well. Might be a bit soapy, which I could see as a genuine complaint of JM scents, but I personally like the other-ness of it all. Answer: This is kind of hard to find unless you are in NYC, in which case they have it at Saks, but Castle Forbes Special Edition Lime is very nice, and fairly long lasting 4-5 hours. It is not very sweet or citrusy--- it's lime with a green base, which is different, I think. Joe Answer: Quote: Originally Posted by hirch_duckfinder Oh yes. The Taylor's of Old Bond St Victorian Lime operates in the same way. The initial juicy lime blast lasts quite a bit longer, though on the other hand the dry-down is as much powdery as musky. Answer: I like to mention "Lime" by Caswell & Massey. Answer: Quote: Originally Posted by phantagarow Aoud Lime by Montale has amazing longevity and sillage only seconded by a nuclear warhead. There is also a regular (EDP) Montale: Aromatic Lime, and I wonder how that succeeds. Comments were not overenthusiastic here last summer. I have a sample of this, I will let you know as soon as the Arctic wind leaves us and we get a little warmth. By the way, Oud Lime has no actual lime.
