To be honest, I have heard of The Second Life, but I hear that it's a bit too addictive... even moreso than Basenotes.
Anyhoo, today, two different fragrance companies have put their smellies in the game (figuratively and literally).
First up is Coty. We all know about the big CK IN2U launch, and they're claiming that it's the first fragrance in the game. The CK IN2U site, located on Avalon, will allow residents and visitors to pick up virtual bottles of the stuff and use special virtual grafitti bottles to express themselves.
But Beaute Prestige International may have tied them (or even beaten them by a few hours)... they have a whole virtual world for Jean Paul Gaultier's Fleur du Male. Unlike the nightclub atmosphere of CK's club, the Gaultier world is peaceful and tranquil. However, you have to be a current member of the Gaultier e-mail list to revieve the invitation.
I'm sure we'll be seeing more of our fragrant stuff as time goes on, though, but for now, this will have to suffice.
