What would Mary Poppins wear? - Page 2
Question:
Since I didn't know her personally, and all that primness could just be an act. (for all we know she could be a hot mama...lol...) I would say Ombre Rose or Anais Anais, something light, flowery, powdery. Answer: I thought Penhaligons too! Answer: I see something floral and barely there. Maybe White Shoulders, not that I like it. We're talking prim and proper maybe. Answer: Though I have never smelled anything from Penhaligon's, I would think that Mary Poppins would indeed wear something from them. Answer: Originally Posted by tdi Mary Poppins would just naturally smell good, She is far too practical to wear something as self indulgent as perfume. I beg to differ! There is a wonderful moment when she is fixing her hat in the mirror when her reflection gets all operatic when singing with her, and that little smirk of vanity, self satisfaction when she measures herself after 'taking the measure' of the children that shows that she would be self-interested enough to wear a perfume. I think that she would wear something very pretty and feminine but aloof like Crown Perfumery Marechale or Penhaligons Elizabethan Posy. But bearing in mind how 'different' she is to your average Nanny, her youth, her huge carpet bag and untold of travels I think she may wear something far more exotic and patchouli based - but still very discreetly: Ava Luxe Sweet Patchouli or Caron Farnesiana parfum seem appropriate. Personally, I see her wearing something like Crown Perfumery Eau de Russe. Answer: Mary Poppins? Oh my goodness... Mary would never be caught dead in anything other than Eau de Ivory soap. She is 99.99/100% pure ya know. Answer: lulu guiness Answer: She might wear chocolat from Il Profumo... i dont know why I feel that, but I imagine she'd be melting chocolate and baking brownies, then floating away high on chocolate On a similar vein... what would Marie Antoinette wear though...? I heard in Harrods there is a new boutique opening (might be on the 4th floor) selling room scents, and perfumes as well as other scented things based on what Marie Antoinette would have loved... I cant wait to visit it - does anyone know when it opens in Harrods?? Answer: Practically perfect in every way? Mmmmm... I think it would be something very classy and discreet. Caron's Bellodgia would be my pick. Answer: Originally Posted by Ala Mary Poppins? Oh my goodness... Mary would never be caught dead in anything other than Eau de Ivory soap. It's the same type of thing that makes paparazzis successful. - Rich Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
