Most Exciting "Mainstream" Men's Scents
Question:
I feel like I am a bit behind on trying men's scents and have alot of catching up to do... Are there any men's scents in the non-niche market that are truly worth trying? So far I can say that I know and like the following (so no need to recommend it again...): Most of the Guerlain's men's fragrances (Heritage, Habit Rouge, Coriolan before it was discontinued, Vetiver) Caron: Pour Un Homme, Le 3me Homme Dior: Eau Sauvage (this is my favourite men's scent), Dior Homme Thierry Mugler: A*Men, Cologne Rochas Man Bvlgari Black Chanel's Pour Monsieur, Anateus Also most of the Hermes line, including the unisex ones Anything I am missing? (I know there is). Give me the scoop on the best men's scents around that can be found in most department and drug stores (since the niche ones are defined unisex anyways and I read all the raves all the time Thans a million! Is it for you to wear, or for creative research? I don't yet have an aristocratic olfactory system, and have not yet ventured into the world of expensive niche fragrances (except for a bottle of Jasmal I'm waiting for) so all I know is department store stuff. So far: Girls I know seems to like to wear: M7 Pi Xeryus Rouge 212 Men I love all of those as well, except 212 which smells nice on the women, and awful on me. And then some of my more "masculine" very favourites are: Zino (this is something special) Drakkar Noir (old news, but I do love it) Opium Pour Homme is really nice, but I find all the nice notes disappear within an hour and it just leaves an unpleasant film in my mouth, which I'm guessing is cedar. That's true both of the EDP and EDT, and where the EDP has a richer blend, the EDT is alot more lively and spicy, and the fresh notes are much more prominent. And the Hermes line are some of my very favourites, but you know them already. Kouros is a big favourite around here, and it's very nice, but if you aren't careful with it, it really puts the toilette back into eau de toilette with it's prominent "high sucrose pee pee" note. And call me an uncultured knob but I enjoy Cool Water. Answer: My favorites: Ungaro III Polo Blue by Ralph Lauren John Varvatos Vera Wang Pleasures by Estee Lauder Answer: Chanel Égoïste (NOT Platinum) Boucheron Jaïpur Homme YSL Kouros, Live Jazz and M7 Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
