Which Scent Have You Worn The Longest Amount Of Time & Which One Was A Quickie?
Question:
Which fragrance(s) did you have the longest love affair with, and maybe still are attached to after all these years? Which one was a love at first sight, great while it lasted, , and now your "over it"? My long love affairs are/were with Fendi (longest) Amarige, Kenzo Jungle, Opium, & Hypnotic Poison. My quick flings are: Angel, Magie Noire, and definitely gonna be, the original Mania, no likey & Parfum Sacre, can't even get myself to wear it out. Answer: When it comes to perfume I'm a "Wham Bam, Thank You Ma'am" kind of gal I love 'em & leave 'em...can't help it, I'm a scent-whore! The only one I've been in love with long term is Angel. I do however see a long term love with my Carons & Guerlains though. Maybe there's hope for me after all . Answer: This is an easy question I have had a bottle of Caron Bellodgia in my collection since I was 14 years old and I can not fathom being without it. My first perfume I ever bought was Chanel 19 (which I am very fond of and hope to own again soon) but my first true love was Bellodgia. L' Eau D'Issey was the most fleeting fragrance I dallied with. It was a gift from my best friend and she loved it. I liked it but it was a little too marine-fresh for my liking. My husband knocked it off of my bathroom vanity and ended my passing fancy. I didn't love it enough to re-purchase. My bathroom smelled great for quite a while though. Answer: Lasting loves: Nocturnes de Caron (don't own right now, though) Guerlain Samsara YSL Paris Chanel Bois des Îles Answer: I've rarely been without both CK one and CK be in my wardrobe since their launch. I'm actually wearing CK be right now! As for a short affair...I'd have to say Hugo (men's). A female friend of mine pulled this off AWESOMELY. I got a small bottle for myself & liked it for like...a couple weeks. Then one night I was @ the bar w/ some friends, and I could smell this on myself, and it wasn't something I was happy to be smelling like. I hadn't oversprayed...I just smelled really odd. I gave it to my brother. Answer: A few true loves and many passing fancies..unfortunately some of the true loves have been discontinued making the memories and the few drops or ounces that remain all the sweeter. True loves: My Sin, Le de Givenchy, Audace (A MILLION THANKS TO TINKER FOR POINTING ME TO A SELLER), Intimate, and of course, Zibeline and Weil de Weil. Loves that I can still get are LHB, Mitsouko and VdeN....as well as Bellodgia, Femme, Ivoire and I think Montana parfum d'elle will fall into this category as will Boudoir. The flings are too numerous to name and fill my closets to the bursting point Answer: Mitsouko I've had more than 20 years. The only thing I've really stopped wearing is Diorissimo (had it in my teens and it's nice but just a little floral for the adult me) but there's a few misguided buys in my wardrobe that won't be replenished once they run out. Answer: Coco since 1985 and Égoïste since 1990, both still going strong. Yohji, "only" since 1998 but I have gone through six full bottles of it! No passing fancies, really. Answer: Route de Thé from Barneys New York was a quickie, because you a buy only in New york, not in Europe. The longest scent for me was RED DOOR! Answer: These scents I keep coming back to: Chloe Narcisse, Guerlain Samsara and Van Cleef and Arpels Gem. I had a one night stand with Van Cleef First. Couldn't handle it. Not sure if I got a bad bottle - but 'blech!' Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
