Scents you were astonished to like? - Page 2
Question:
CURIOUS from Britney Spears was something I tried just to make fun of but I actually ended up LIKING it! It is really good during heatwaves when other scents either fade or sour on the skin Who knew!

Answer:
I don't think anything's wrong with liking a celebrity scent, if you really like the way it smells , but personally, I don't like "trendy" scents, and to just buy something because it's popular or because Britney or Paris wears it, to me is silly, but to each their own.

Answer:
Normally, I don't like florals. Not because I don't like the way they smell, but because perfumes usually smell like wet dog on my skin when the top notes are a lot of flowers. I'm actually really upset that Creed Love in White does this on me because I adore how it smells in the sample tube.
Then came along Yves Saint Lauren Paris as a gift. I spritzed some on myself thoroughly expecting it to turn nasty within ten minutes, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I'm going to wear it all the time when it gets warmer.

Answer:
For me it was definitely Balenciaga's RUMBA! I don't normally like big loud fruity openings like the one I experienced with this scent, and in the past I would have run screaming for the soap and water. I'm really glad I didn't succumb to my first instincts because I really love this frag now, and have actually decided to buy the full bottle.
On the other side of the coin, I thought I would love Angel and Lolita Lempicka, but could not wait to scrub them off!

Answer:
Well I have truly been shocked. I love Angel and Mitsouko & musks. It only took about six months to a year. I used to get sick over them. And the most shocking of all is that I love Elizabeth Taylor's Passion. You always hear bad things about it. I will sneak up in the dead of night, make sure no one is around lurking and very quietly spritz on my stinky Passion.

another shocker was hypnotic poison. i guess playdoh and rootbeer suit my chemistry.

Answer:
Chanel 5.I remember the first time I sniffed it I tought ` OMG,powder overkill` .But my friends liked it on me and I began to like it too

Answer:
I was really surprised that I could wear Fracas. VERY surprised. I had never been able to wear Tuberose before.

Answer:
Tubereuse Criminelle - it's not my type of scent at all, and my first testing confirmed it.
I tried it several months later, was distracted by something during the opening mentholic blast and by the time I smelled, it was a voluptuous rich siren. It's still not my type of fragrance, but I love it anyway.

Answer:
Cuir Ottoman. I don't DO leather! I thought this was another unwearable leather scent until the drydown kicked in, and it was utterly swoony and addictive.
