Eau Lente (Diptyque) and will it work in summer?
Question:
Eau Lente is not a fragrance that is being referred to very often on basenotes. However, the reviewers do praise it and hold it in high regards. I would appreciate if there are any opinions on this fragrance: What it is about? And is it supposed to "work" in summer, too? Thanks in anticipation. Answer: I'm going to wear it again when Guerlain week is over, DesGrieux--I've wanted to pull it out for a while. I'm glad you asked about it. By instinct I'd say it could easily be worn in the summer. I think went through phases wearing it mostly during the springs of the last few years, but that wouldn't stop me from wearing that fresh vanilla mix on summer days at all. It's a great clean vanilla drydown, and I don't see it getting cloying at all. --Chris Answer: I agree with DustB. Under any usual definition, this is everything that a summer scent is NOT. Very spicy, rich, and vanillic. However, it manages to have a dry feel that works well in heat, despite the vanilla. I liken it to L'Air + Opium. Answer: Be careful wearing it in the summer because it's strong and has a very prominent powdery accord. The drydown is a bit more tame with a slight minty edge. I'd personally wear it at night. Answer: Yeah, it's OK to wear it in summer. I wear Gucci pour Homme in summer too. Just apply lightly and enjoy it. Answer: try smn opoponax for a less powdery sweet opoponax based fragrance. better in cooler weather I'd think though Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
