On the longevity of Uomo (Lorenzo Villoresi)
Question:
I have encountered Lorenzo Villoresi's Uomo only once, in Rome (I bought Chergui instead...). I remember it to be quite unique, very "natural smelling". Reading older threads on Lorenzo Villoresi confirmed this impression of mine. I got confronted with the problem of longevity, too. Now: Is there any point of agreement concerning its longevity? Is it really rather short lived? I'm looking forward to your responses. Answer: This is one of the samples of LV I'm testing right now. I'm not sure that it's so much poor longevity as a light fragrance. It was my SOTD today. I applied @7:30am (chest) - 2 1/2 sprays, it's 8:30pm and I can smell it very faintly if I put my nose in my shirt. I'm not sure how many sprays you'd have to use to get significant sillage. Still split on this one. It's nice, no doubt, but I generally like my fragrances a bit stronger. Answer: I'd say it's average in terms of longevity, perhaps a little on the short end of average. There is a stronger version, though. You can check out http://www.lafcony.com and I believe they list the details. Answer: I would agree with average concerning longevity Answer: Somewhat short lived and somewhat light, but still quite nice. Answer: Applied copiously with a roll-on this lasts forever (i.e. all day) on me. Not a sillage monster, though. Too bad my wife hates it. I think it's very clever how the laurel and other herbs stand in for a traditional clove note. Answer: I agree it's short-to-medium-lived; meaning that it's OK for an evening. I love it: the unique non-oriental spice bouquet, the quality of the citrus,... Answer: Sampled a couple of weeks ago, for the 1st time. Average longevity - however the opening was very strong, I thought. Answer: Three spritzes of Uomo last a good 12 hours on me. The scent stays close to the skin, which makes it a discreet and elegant choice for daily wear. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
