Are you self-conscious when *not* wearing any scent?
Question:
Well, are you? Answer: I understand your question, but the way you state your poll options doesn't at all match my outlook on why I wear fragrances; therefore, I couldn't really respond to your poll. I don't wear a scent to cover up my natural body scent, and I don't think I'm "obsessed with smelling good." I would say I think scents are beautiful and I like to wear them for myself to enjoy, and am also happy when they please others. If I go out in public not wearing any scent, I don't feel especially naked; but I wouldn't say "I don't give a damn," either. I'm not self-conscious when not wearing any scent; rather, I would say I indulge my taste for beauty more when I am. BTW, I like being naked, too. I don't feel self-conscious without any clothes on; but I guess that has nothing to do with scent! Answer: I'm definitely not self conscious if i don't wear cologne, in fact i'm probably much more self conscious when i am wearing something since i'll be interested in guaging other people's reactions. I might be a bit more worried if you kept me from wearing deodorant but that would just be cruel. Answer: not that i lose my confidence or whatnot when i don't where a scent... but now it would feel weird if i didn't wear anything that day...since i just imersed myself in this hyped up world of perfumes.... Ditto. Answer: There have been times where I've gone to work, realized I didn't apply my cologne, and went to go "feed the meter" in order to apply cologne. I always have something in my car to apply... there's no way I'd ever be with cologne in easy reach. Hell, I've even gone to the extreme of carrying a few of those "wipe-on" samples in my wallet. I've even considered making a few of my own (get some of those tiny ziplock bags and put a cosmetic wipe saturated with the frag in it... and hope it doesn't leak or go bad...) so I have stuff I like instead of Polo Black or whatever. Answer: I definitely feel like something is missing. That is why I carry the fragrance around with me to reapply so that it doesn't disappear as the day goes on. Answer: Add me to the "feels like somethings missing" pool. I don't get self-conscious about BO if I'm not wearing a scent, though. I keep myself clean enough. But I do feel naked if I'm not wearing a frag. Answer: Originally Posted by Jaisen Well, are you? Det er et godt spørgsmål, kan du ikke uddybe mulighederne? Answer: It doesn't bother me in the least if I'm not wearing a fragrance, but I usually feel "better" when I am wearing one. I wear scents because I like the way they smell and with a life of one continuous mathematical equation, it's nice to have something distract me from the constant din of numbers, albeit temporary and fleeting.
