Italian style fragrances like D&G pour homme? - Page 2

And "Italy itself", in perfume form, is not at all supposed to smell "good" (as most other countries that have gone through the hell of industrialization). The "smell of Italy", as maybe the "smell of Germany/Britain/whatsoever" is just what a person associates with the country. Kind of "esthetics of reception". I associated Bvlgari because I always liked to associate Italy (n o t as a whole, though) with elegance, refinement, understatement.

Quite so.

Answer:
Most of the Versace and Gianfranco Ferre scents smell "Italian" to me. They have a certain liveliness about them.

Answer:
What about fragrances from the house of Acca Kappa? I love all three of them - 1869, Cedar and White Moss.

Answer:
My first thoughts on this topic would have me saying Acqua di Parma Colonia (mentioned several times already).

Answer:
Bulgari has become my favorite fragrance house.
Bulgari Aqua, Bulgari PH Exteme, Bulgari Blv Notte PH and are spectacular Italian fragrances.
I also think Bulgari Blv PH, Versace Man Eau Fraiche and Ferragamo Subtil PH are great also.
By the way, I am of Italian descent and the vast majority of my diet is traditional Italian food. I'm originally from the Bronx's Little Italy (Arthur Avenue-Belmont section).

Answer:
Try Rue Rance's Le Vainqueur; sounds French, is however produced in Italy;
If you love D & G, this is your ultimate version; you 'll love it!!
Similar, but better!

Answer:
I'm having a really hard time trying to fathom why Aqua de Parma Colonia is supposedly so Italian?
May as well pick Aqua di Selva.
Neither are typical of what is put out by the design houses with Italian names that are sold by the tens of millions around the world (i.e. Gucci, Versace, Benetton, Roccobarocco, Sergio Tacchini, Trussardi, Gai Mattioli, Gianfranco Ferre, Laura Biagiotti, D&G, Moschino, Fendi, Armani, Verino, Cavelli, Zegna etc)

Answer:
Versace Dreamer is similar in many ways to D & G.

Answer:
It's nothing like Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme but SMN Melograno always reminds me of Italy.
