Welcome to Live Dialogue !!!

The faded REALLL scent.....amazing!
Question:
Went to Macy's and sprayed Polo Double Black on the right wrist, smelled very weird..in a good way...so damn unique! I let it dry and fade. On the underside I sprayed POLO Blue.
On the left wrist I sprayed Nautica Voyage . very clean, crisp...blue.
On the neck I did the old 3 spritz of BOSS Selection.
Do you know the first time I had my broad smell the Double Black swatch last week, she made a very intriguing face...lol..she wasn't sure of it.
The results today....She likes Double Black! I like it now...I find that it fades totally like and smells like Obsession for men!? They have the same notes in a way? No?
Second was The Selection ofcourse and third was Nautica voyage.
Christ! What is in Double black that makes it smell so authentic?! I think it fades great..at first spray it's mind bending, it actually messes with your mind...lol. Now thats one unique scent. I would recommend putting Double Black on in the morning so that it dries and fades nice before you go out, IMHO. lol
POLO Blue is a no go. I find it too spicy annisette smelling when faded..like that old lady perfume scent.. I like Polo sport much better.
I have to get to The major mall here on the island and try those Parson colognes and Terre d' Hermes.
Aqua Di Gio is a given to the list..thats a must.
I mean what do woman compliment or ask "What are you wearing?" the most???
Hey I wanted to let you guys know I smelled the perfumes for my wife and I have to tell you the top 3 that were awesome:
VERA WANG- THE PRINCESS
TOMMY- BAHAMA
BRIT- BURBERRY
Princess is very sweet and cotton candy but yet once you smell it as a guy for a woman it smells so good...not flowery powdery either.
Bahama is soooo nice too. I wish I had more time I would have like to try more perfume swatches...too crowded today.
Brits nice as well but those top 2 were awesome.

I'm trying to look at the thought process involved in your writing that huge post section by section and I just can't figure it out.
I do like PDB, but it's not THAT amazing.

Answer:
Sorry Money grip...my bad.

Answer:
just a couple days ago i also sampled Double Black...also on my right wrists by the way!
To me it was pleasant without being spectacular...
Of course i had Egoiste on the other wrist which (tho i dont know if i can pull off) is in just another cloud of class above the Ralf Lauren...

Answer:
Eh, Polo DB is an OK scent, but Brit Burberry for Women is soooooo sexy. I can't help myself when I smell it, I just can't.
I'm confused though, by the statement at the end of your men's sampler section. Are you asking what cologne gets the compliments? If so, see this thread, or do a search, and you'll find out why people can get flamed for asking this question. This thread actually does have a lot of compliment getting colognes in it.

Answer:
When you say "faded" do you really mean dry down, as the top notes fade away, and the other notes become more prominent?
Anyhow, I thought Double Black was pretty much the best of the Polos. I didn't see the connection to Obsession though.

Answer:
Sorry, but I hated Polo Double Black at the beginning, the middle and the drydown

Answer:
Yea, I mean the drydown. I guess thats the same as the way it smells or lasts later? I'm new so, sorry guys lol I'm just trying to find out what makes that Double Black so unique smelling. The initial spritz had that dampened coffee/ pepper smell and vanilla or something to me? So strange but intriguing?
This is after I tried all the polo's and Bulgari Extreme and Nautica...then it was like DB was totally different. It is unique to me only cause I have a standard 3 colognes that are Miyake, HUGO BOSS, and CK Be...so when I smell D Black it's totally different than all those I now have. I mean I smelled Angel for men and It is like nothing I've ever smelled!
Yup..I was asking what cologne gets the most accolades from the women so I'll hit that link you gave.... dont want to get flamed! lol
I should have put those 3 perfume's I like for broads on another post, my bad, but hey Vera wang's Princess is some good stuff...Bahama-Tommy...too!
Thanks guys, again I want to try and branch out to new colognes without buying the small bottle and hating the hell out of it after a week. D Black is good, but to me thats a 2X/ week cologne..it's dark and so many ingredients (notes?). Cant wait to try Hermes and Parsons stuff!

Surprised you found this of Polo Blue. Women tastes vary considerably - your wife* may not like PB, but it's definitely a hit amongst many women. If you're looking for the scent that garners the most compliments from women, check the link Rich posted. I could assure you that PB wasn't mentioned by just 1 or 2 members, but several.

Is this "broad" you are referring to, your wife? I normally use this term to be derogatory in describing a woman of loose morals. I'm quite sure many other men use it for similar reasons as well. Just thought I'd let you know.

If you think DB is spectacularly unique compared to your current regulars, you'll have your world tured upside down by stuff like Bvlgari Black, Gucci PH, the whole range of Guerlains...not to mention the plethora of niche possibilities that await. I'm excited for you.
