SotD Saturday 10 March - Page 3
Question:
I wore Shalimar to bed last night, and will wear Metallica for the day. Happy Guerlain week to all! Answer: Guerlain - Habit Rouge for me as well. Answer: Happy start to our glorious Guerlain week! Tigs, the cheerleaders nearly made me fall off my chair... It's the wonderful Bois d'Armenie for me today. Will post on the Guerlain thread later. Answer: Shalimar, pure parfum. Deep vanilla, lemon and resin? Yummy. I love this. Answer: I am sorry to say, I don't own any Guerlains. Okay, you can stop booing now. Honestly, haven't owned Shalimar in over twenty five years, not because I don't like it, because it's beautiful, but it's too easy to identify, and I like scents that are more unknown to most people. I am going to go outside the box for me, and try Parfum Sacre today, with some hesitation (the scent scares me...lol...) instead of staying with my regular "safe" scents. Have a good day! Couldn't do it with the Parfume Sacre, (can't get myself to use it) went with the original Halston, oh well... Answer: Today I am wearing Samsara EdT. Although I know that come Monday I will be already gritting my teeth and trying to resist my other beauties' cries, I AM participating in the great, grand Guerlain week Happy Saturday! Answer: Samsara day for me as well. Nice to see/smell so many scent twins around the globe! Answer: Well, I had my first visit to Les Senteurs today (James is lovely isn't he!) followed by Harvey Nicks. So I have SL Miel de Bois on one wrist and Creed Royal English Leather on the other. Now the Miel de Bois I'd wanted to test, and fell in love with right away. Royal English Leather was suggested by James, and wow! I expected something a bit dry and, well, leathery, but it is actually sweet and warm and gorgeous. So I ended up buying both... But, in the spirit of the day, I made sure to test some Guerlains at Harvey Nicks. Naturally the SA tried to interest me in Insolence, until I explained my aversion to violet. I ended up trying Habit Rouge and Jicky. I found the bergamot rather dominant in both so they smelled quite similar to me. Bear in mind I had tested quite a few perfumes by this point so my nose was probably fatigued. Neither stood out as something I'd want to buy. I also tried Vol de Nuit again. I still don't like it - I still get melted plastic from it (or was that the smell of my debit card after its workout at Les Senteurs?!) Answer: OOPS! I forgot Guerlain week starts today! I'm doused in vintage Chanel No 22 edc Answer: Vol de Nuit Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
