Fleur du Male - Jean Paul Gaultier - Page 3
Question:
Bought this today, I really like it. It's not as 'wham bam thank you mam' as Le Male, it seems very polleny, and I swear there is tyres in here somewhere lol. Answer: I really am not impressed with fleur de male...it has a few notes in common with regular le male which I do not really like. the synthetic notes do not dry down, but almost project into annoyance. fleur de male is alright smelling, but there really isn't much of a difference between it and any other female white floral...to me jpg just took a women's white floral fragrance, added that signature le male synthetic note, and marketed it for men... which is all sort-of dumb to me, because there really shouldn't be so much discussion about whether it is a men's or women's scent...historically speaking, there was no distinction between men's and women's scents until the 20th century, when it was invented purely as a marketing gimmick to increase men's fragrance sales by attempting to appeal to men's need to feel more masculine...all in all i find it too limiting to segregate fragrances and will shop in both women's and men's fragrance sections Answer: A salesperson sprayed this on my hand and on first instance I thought it was very sweet and floral but I liked it. I couldn't believe it was Orange Blossoms. My wife LOVED it on me. I succumbed to the pressure and bought it. I am having second thoughts now..I feel the opening note is very over-whelming. I am not sure whether my wife liked it as a fragrance she would like on herself. I tend to think now that it is leaning more toward the feminine side. It has a powdery dry down and orange blossom through out. Very long lasting! On occassions when I get a whiff of this on myself, I am reminded of Raid roach spray. Is it just me? I think this one might be going back for an exchange. Answer: sniffed it yesterday & it is the most 'Coconish' & Pampering men fragrance I've ever sniffed, it is a fragrance that you'd wear for your own pleasure, not to seduce other women & be the sexiest man on earth with heavy spices .. or to give you a boost of energy for your working day with noisy citruss... it is about forgetting all the above & forget the tough man in you, have a pleasure moment for your self .. soak in a delicious sweet milk... it is an extreme cocon. -the ad. say it all- I couldn't stop sniffing my hands, I am gonna pamper myself & purchase this one today.. i need it. Answer: Question to those in the know, FdM does come out in most regular stores tomorrow correct? Answer: Originally Posted by LeMâle Question to those in the know, FdM does come out in most regular stores tomorrow correct? Yes, Fleur du Male starts to roll out pretty much everywhere starting today, as the exclusivity period that Bloomingdale's had for a month ends today. However, it won't be fully rolled out in the US for a few more weeks, so please be patient. Like the old Diet Coke commercial from the 1980s said: "If it's not there now, it will be soon." BTW, Sephora will also offer a Sephora-exclusive (in the US, that is) 1.3 oz bottle in addition to the standard 2.5 and 4.2 oz bottles. Answer: Finally sniffed it yesterday. Neroli, neroli, neroli! Lasted for about 6-7 hours from 1 spray on my left wrist. It's strong everyone and even though I like florals (my last purchase was Voleur de Roses by L'Artisan) this is a, as I expected, POWDERY floral. I think I would like smelling this on someone else, not on myself... Answer: Perfect floral scent for the spring. I tried it at a local store here in L.A. and I'm smelling orange blossoms. Delicious! Answer: I wonder when we'll start seeing it at discount fragrance websites? Answer: I can't believe this is the one fragrance I have wanted to smell for about 4 months now and still haven't gotten around to it, guess that's what happens when you have to balance two hobbies Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
