Fleur du Male - Jean Paul Gaultier - Page 2
Question:
I agree about the overspraying, I sometimes find myself dousing myself in Le Male because it's such an addictive smell. I'm hoping it wont become popular for purely selfish reasons - I want to be the only one who wears it hehe! Answer: I had a chance to try the Fleur du Male today, and I really enjoyed it. For some reason I left Bloomies wishing that I bought that instead of Gucci PH2. I like powdery sents, and I believe this will be a great smell for me in the summer. One thing that I liked about Le Male was that it lasted the whole day on my skin, and this one seems like it will do the same. I'm definitely going to pick this up...maybe the gift set because that seems like a much better deal. Answer: Finally tried it today. Starts off like Gaultier˛, but without the sticky sicky sweet cake dough, and pretty soon it becomes obvious why this didn't get a completely new bottle design. One rather synthetic note that some seem to dislike in Le Male for it's abrasiveness gets quite pronounced in the middle, but after that, the smell approaches Le Male. I am somewhat pleasantly surprised, because I expected something horribly flowery like Bulgari BLV (yucky cheap female perfume, I wonder who wears this... thing), but it really is right between G˛ and Le Male. Maybe it's still around when my LM is empty. This stuff goes a long way, after all. Answer: I tried this today and I didn't like it at all. I don't like that artificially sweet note in Le Male or G2 so I didn't have high hopes for this one. Also it's marketing gimmick seems to be a floral for men. Really there are many women's fragrances that smell manlier than this. Answer: I don't know man ... to me, all I get is Le Male. Especially after the drydown. The opening notes start out a bit "Joop-ish" to me. But after that, it's basically just a very slight variation of the original Le Male. I seriously doubt anyone with less than a very "experienced" nose who's smelled Le Male before, will be able to tell the difference when you're wearing it. I actually did buy this last week on my trip to Bloomingdale's, but returned it the same day because of it's similarity to the original. I exchanged it for Prada Amber and am very happy with the swap. Answer: Originally Posted by ziffy321 I exchanged it for Prada Amber and am very happy with the swap. I'm very very excited - tomorrow I'll get my Prada samples. People respected by me keep it in high esteem Answer: What a crushing disappointment! Perhaps one of the most unusual and disgusting high-profile launches in recent memory. Starts off sickly sweet then very quickly deteriorates into what in my mind can only be described of fart-spray. My colleague sniffed my hand and thought I had spilt bleach on it. Answer: Just smelled it today in Malpensa Airport in Milan. Wow gorgeous flowers. Fresh and sweet Like a white cream on a chocolate cake. Very feminine indeed but beautiful. And it lasts forever. Answer: smelled Fleur du Male short description: It's Le Male in a "dirty", with powdery notes, way. The drydown is carnal, lavishly sweet I think it will not be so popular as Le male..Fleur du male is more sophisticated...The new notes has something what is not for everyone... But I think - it's nice...I have to try it once more Answer: I can't imagine in what situations it could be worn, especially in Summer... Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
