Okay, I don't have her nose then...lol...I kind of imagine Cleo like the Elizabeth Taylor version, even though it seems that claims have said, otherwise.

Good choices...very clever with Caesar's Woman

Answer:
Something that smells like citrus, white pearls, sea shells, lotus flower and amber.

Answer:
I know it's marketed for men, but wouldn't she have worn Jardin du Nil?

Answer:
Black Cashmere or something with Frankincense, Myrre and a lot of spice.

Answer:
Many good suggestions--I would add Parfum Sacre. The advertising seems to go as well; I like the name for Cleopatra as well. And then all the more oriental Serge Lutens. She seems like the type with a large wardrobe. As for back then, amber, rose, spices and resin, but I have no idea what the state of fragrance was then.

I think, based on the Greek vase evidence, that the nearest representation to Cleopatra may have been Monica Bellucci, who played her in a recent film. MB has the right nose shape, even if it could not be described as large or in any other way less than perfect.
There is a facial similarity between the Etruscans and the Greeks, or at least their idea of representations of female beauty are remarkably similar in their urn designs.
It's all guess work of course and impossible to know, but probably the least Cleo like actress was Claudet Colbert who played her in a film.
4 cents worth (that's inflation for you).

Anything with a decent 'scent pyramid' to it. Bwahaha.
I'm thinking Elizabeth Taylor (which I know is completely wrong, but my brain seems a bit stuck on her), and I'm thinking Mahora. Sultry, hot, slightly poisonous.

But what DID Mary Poppins wear then?? I always received something kinky with her. Am I the only to see it that way? Maybe it's the shoes, the dress and doctor's bag, i don't know... ;-)
Cleopatra would have worn a scent pyramid containing a mixture of rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, lotus, amber, musk and frankincense oils on her head. These little pyramids were made of solid oils and waxes and fixed to the hair. In the warm and humid climate the solid materials would melt and flow down the wig and/or hair and melt down into the skin of the neck.
She is said to have perfumed the sails of her personal boats. You could smell before seeing them on the Nile.
Nowadays she's clearly an Opium person.
Does anyone remember the discontinued "AMUN" by Muelhens? That was alike her smell in ancient times, i am sure...
