live jazz ????
Question:
I have been trying to like live jazz for a long time now but think i will have to give up on it . I love the opening but after 20 minutes or so i get a strong wee smell . I managed to get the courage to wear it to work the other day and one of the ladys there who knows i am a colonge lover said, What have you got on today cat wee ???. so i guess it just aint for my skin. Anyone else had this problem with it or is just not for me. I would love to know what note that is doing it.

Anyway, back to the point: you might like trying such method of application: spray your live jazz from 15 inch distance on both sides of your neck.
With my Kouros (also from YSL) it gives completely different results! I'm saying this because spraying from short distance gave me a very harsh, unpleasant smell.

Bought a bottle for cheap a few weeks ago and did not liked it after a few days of using it;seems everybody likes it.I definitely not.Sold the bottle on a co-worker for cheaper then cheap.I like citrus but there is something strange in it;maybe the cilantro?

Answer:
There is a menthol note in it, unless I'm mistaken. Some people have an aversion to "minty" smells. My reason is that my friends thought it would be funny to get me drunk off of peppermint schnapps... after ruining a bush outside, I decided that peppermint schnapps were not for me. Or peppermint flavored fragrances.

I recently bought "Live Jazz" blind after reading the reviews posted by other basenoters. On a recent balmy springish day I wore it and really liked it. I look forward to wearing it often this summer. I live in a sub tropical climate ( New Orleans, LA) and think it will do very well here. Also bought Givenchy's "Blue Label" blind and am experiencing the same results. Like it a lot.

Answer:
Live Jazz didn't work for me either. Peppery, fresh, and uninteresting IMO.
I gave up on it after two applications. You gave it more of a chance than me.

Please don't take offense to this, but did you shower before putting it on? I have found that applying fragrances without showering really amplifies and intensifies the scent. If I try to wear Kouros, Polo Green, or Burberry London (original), I smell like "The Man Who Wore Too Much".
The reason I say this is because I used to wear Live Jazz and found it very nice, and not at all like cat pee. But you know, colognes can take on very different notes depending on the skin type. Perhaps this is one that doesn't work with you. I know that there are some that just don't work with me, while others do.
