Armani Attitude: Some of the notes
Question:
The ever gracious Linda, our Armani SR here at Carrefour Laval (Montreal), willingly and delightedly pulled out her Armani fragrance sheet to reveal the notes for Armani's Attidude, due early May (always available at the counter several weeks before the official launch). I felt like Inspector Poireau going after a well-kept secret formula except that my intentions were very clear... So here we go: Classified as a fougère, Attitude boasts opening top notes of Mandarin and Cardamom and segues with middle notes of Black Rose, Patchouli and Absinthe. The bottom notes display creativity and include Tolu, Styrax, Labdanum and Ebony. All in all - or so I'm told (the marketing spiel, as someone pointed out) - a heady, addictive fragrance, with all the right elements for a spring launch. Mario Answer: It sounds not boring, unlike a lot of fragrances that are released lately. Answer: Originally Posted by yepyep It sounds not boring, unlike a lot of fragrances that are released lately. I agree. Although notes can be deceiving before you actually smell the juice, this does sound a little different. No "ivory" in this juice, hehehhee Answer: Tolu is almost certainly tolu balsam. It's sort of a vanilla-spicy note. The bottom is going to be amber, basically. This sounds like it could be interesting.. but then, I said the same thing about Gucci PH II when I read the notes, and see what happened. Still, I'll make a trip to sniff it, unless I see a lot of bad reviews... Answer: The bottle is hideously 80's. Check it out at wwd.com, has the header "Three of a kind" - as it is referring to the forthcoming female and male Summer Mania releases from Armani Answer: Interesting - there's another note pyramid in the other thread and it's completely different (except for the patchouli). Now I don't know what to think... Answer: Originally Posted by blackcherry The bottle is hideously 80's. Uh-hm Mr Aramani I'm sorry to say that this type of bottle design has been done to death...and yours is no interesting spin on the design. PS: I don't thin Armani has yet to come out with a "heady" scent! Answer: I smelled this today. At first, it struck me as being pretty different, with a similar feel to it as Lanvin L'homme. As it dries down, I get a heavy dose of patchouli with a bit of a dark rose... not quite like Montale Black Oud, this just feels heavier where that one feels creamier. I think it will do pretty well, however, I'm really shocked that this is being launched in the spring as it seems more appropriate for fall/winter. Answer: Hi Bark, Where did you sampled it? A SA at Bloomingdales told me that they are expecting it to hit the shelves at the beginning of April. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
