"male"scents on women? - Page 4
Question:
Back in the mid-90's I had a bottle of the men's Joop! & I loved it. I had to hide it from the ex because he always wanted a squirt. A recent discovery/love is Old Spice Original Scent anti-perspirant Heaven on Earth.... Answer: Originally Posted by Squeezeweasel I really, really believe that you can't really put a gender on perfumes, although certain notes like ambergris and some woods are typically viewed as men's notes, much like floral notes are for women. I agree - I think the whole gender on perfumes thing is, like Captain Barbossa says in Pirates of the Caribbean, "more what you'd call 'guidelines' than actual rules".... Answer: since bn, men's fragrances is all i wear. i currently wear gucci ph. i love the incense type smells. i also have the cdg kyoto and someone mentioned zargosk. when i have more money to spend on fragrances, that one is on my list. other mens frags in rotation is burberry london, the orginal burberry, and tommy. a one that is a bit different and a bit medicinal in nature is body kouros, it was recommended by a basenoter of course... look up scents you typically like, order sample vials and go from there. i would say don't let gender and ignorant sales people stand in your way. someone said earlier, mens fragrances are more exotic and complex. and if you don't like that floral or powdery scent, there is a whole other world out there for you. Answer: I've now decided that Egoiste is on my "to buy"list...Perhaps "give"it to my b.f and we can share it?In the shop however they only have it in After -Shave:P...Use it on my legs after a shave perhaps;P ... Answer: I have smelled a great deal of Herrera's Chic for Men on women, wich i thought was very surprising. Answer: Egoiste and Dior Homme are fabulous on women! I like both on myself and would like to recommend also Eau Sauvage (Dior) and Vetiver by Guerlain for summer. Both are heavenly and fresh and/or green. Please do also try Grey Flannel. Herrera for men is another one i love on myself. L'Instant pour Homme is a very wearable patchouli. Answer: ...and on top of all this, got a scent strip of the new Kiton Black in last week's NYTimes and now I just gotta have it! Exclusive at Bloomie's in NYC for now. Grrrrr......... Lots of anise and vanilla. It's SEX to the Y!!! Sidenote...it lists violet in the middle notes, but I really can't detect it. I primarily wear men's and unisex frags. There are SOOOOO many good ones. I'm not really a girlie girl, and the softer men's frags seem to suit me. My 22 year old son wears this (among others) I bought it for him, because if I didn't introduce him to the world of fragrance, he probably wouldn't of gotten there until his late twenties. Was the first one among his friends to wear a scent, started him at 17. (now their catching on) Lolita smells really good on him, (not as good on me, but that's another story) a little too powdery, but it has something that makes it POP! Although I love men's scents, I just can't wear them. I smelled Terre de Hermes yesterday, and sprayed myself with it, and didn't feel comfortable wearing it, even though on the strip it was really nice. It still smelled too masculine for me, but that's me. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
