Basenoters-do you prefer winter or summer - Page 2
Question:
I don't believe that a heavy fragrance is inherently better than a lighter one. That being said, I don't have a preference. The one fragrance that's been out of rotation is Terre d'Hermes. It just doesn't work in winter for me. Answer: I obviously understand why people in general doesn't like to wear heavy fragrances hot summer days, and I certainly agree here. Summer nights is another thing. During winter I use basically everything. I don't think light, clean or fresh fragrances could be out of place, ever. Eau des Merveilles is only fragrance from my collection that I just can't use in winter, LV Musk then again is the only one strictly for cold season. Answer: There is no winter in Thailand. But at the end of the year, the temperature would always be about 22-26 c. And I enjoy wearing different scents during that time of the year. Answer: Originally Posted by Chêne I don't believe that a heavy fragrance is inherently better than a lighter one. That being said, I don't have a preference. Second that. Both seasons have pros and cons for me. Answer: Summer. I just struggle to enjoy heavier fragrances. Love citrus. Answer: I prefer spring, or cool summers - the San Francisco weather is ideal for enjoying both heavy orientals and sparkling citruses. Answer: I prefer winter or fall because it is cooler out and I like the heavier scents that accompany cool weather. I think that they have more depth and are much less boring then your everyday fresh, clean summer scent. I really enjoy orientals and woods but they are too heavy to wear in the summer time so I would rather it be cold out so I can wear these delightful fragrances. Answer: Another vote for winter for reasons everyone else has covered. Answer: Votes so far!: Fall/Winter - 7 Spring/Summer - 3 No preference opinions or "both" preference opinions are excluded from tally. -------------------------------------- Originally Posted by thisbekevinn SUMMER!!! Yumm overall I LOVE summer and summer fragrances, some of these scents have great memories of me and my friends lake house sittin out on the dock at 11:00 pm and hanging out with my friends and then going to the warm bondfire. This really reminds me of my friends Pacific Paradise yumm Ha, thisbekevinn you get the nod for strongest opinion. Answer: Winter. I love New England, and I live in the NE for a reason. I love Fall/Winter clothing, fragrances, activities and all. Some people are tempermentally suited for the hot. I am for the cold. That's the way it is. Besides as has been said above, the spicy, woody fragrances are great. Joe PS Summer is OK too, but the lack of clothing shows off imperfections that clothing and fragrances tend to dispel.
