"male"scents on women? - Page 3
Question:
I absolutely love L'Instant de Guerlain pour homme - I wanted to buy it for myself, but the French lady at the counter started talking about how masculine it was, how manly, and how I needed a sample to let my husband (!) try it on, etc etc. so I slunk out of there buying nothing. I will get it eventually, but this time I know which counter to avoid.
Most of the scents I wear daily are unisex - Lutens, Bulgari, and Eau de Cartier. I don't like most florals and I don't like powder... so there you go!

Answer:
Givenchy PI, best non-sweet vanilla ever.

Answer:
I wear my husbands Egoïste once every month or so and I really like it a lot! It smells totally different on me than on him, it morphs into something quite feminine on my skin. Haven't tried Dior Homme but I'm thinking of buing it to my DH.

Answer:
to be honest, i haven't tried too many 'male' scents...well, not on my skin anyway. i have tried most of the Calvin Klein/Davidoff/Joop that is sold here in Sydney on tester cards, but not too many on the skin. I've worn Instinct by David Beckham and Euphoria for Men by Calvin Klein, but I don't really remember what they were like on my skin....one of my aims in the future is to try a few men's fragrances on me, and see what they're like
this has been an interesting thread to read...I think Dior Homme is one of the scents i'll have to try at some point

Answer:
Same here, Annachristine (and welcome!)

Answer:
Taoladyyour personality astounds me sometimes. I love to wear men's scents if I like them. I don't care how fragrances are labeled, mens, unisex, or women's, if I like it, that's all that counts for me.

Answer:
Really happy about the great response to this threadNow I've got even more fragrances that I need to try YEAH to no boundraies

Answer:
Gosh - about a third of the fragrances in my wardrobe are for men. I wear them as much as I do the ones marketed at women - I really, really believe that you can't really put a gender on perfumes, although certain notes like ambergris and some woods are typically viewed as men's notes, much like floral notes are for women.
I love ambergris and woods. I wear both a lot.
There's only one fragrance I own which I sometimes find a bit *too* masculine, and even that is a pussycat in the drydown. It's Etro Mahogany, which smells like a lumberjack. Fortunately, it becomes creamy and vanillic in the drydown, which is beautiful.

I LOVE this one, and on me it turns kind of sweet and delicate! Maybe that's why I prefer men's frags to begin with...my chemistry tames the beasts .

Answer:
I have recently been buying up scents for my hubby, and noticed that Black XS smells alot like Light Blue, so I tried it, I liked it for the most part, but a little tired of it by the end of the day. I did buy him Egoiste and Gucci PM never thought about trying them myself, I will now though.
FM Noir Epices is my favourite so far of the unisex scents.
