Answer: Penhaligon's Elizabethan Rose is very lovely indeed. Creed originated from England but has been french since 1854 when they moved to Paris Answer: Originally Posted by Jasmin de Grasse Creed originated from England but has been french since 1854 when they moved to Paris Thats right, although its still regarded as "old english & foreign" by the french. Using english names for their fragrances probably doesnt help matters either. Regarding your signature: Profumo by Aqua Di Parma also contains jasmin from grasse: http://www.mspmag.com/style/beauty/51513.asp, as well as Guerlain L'Heure Bleau, and a couple of other Guerlains. The following is a good link on jasmin: http://boisdejasmin.typepad.com/_/20...f_the_wee.html Answer: hi, not too many people know about Creed in France, maybe this beautiful line is more successful and known in england? that I don 't know... it makes sense what you say, except for Fleur de The Rose Bulgare most of their scents names are in english language as for Bois de jasmin 's article on jasmin de Grasse, with all due respect (I love love her blog) Guerlain doesn 't use jasmin de Grasse jasmine for their extraits, never did. on the other hand Guerlain owns the most precious jasmine lands in India, Egypt and other secret locations (information disclosed by JP Guerlain 's interview 'Tous les parfums de l 'Arabie' french documentary). I m extremely skeptical about Iris Nobile using jasmin de Grasse, I keep reading everywhere only Patou and Chanel have production rights on jasmin de Grasse, but that deserves further inquiries and investigation... Answer: have you tried the French Goutal Rose very rose indeed - also West Side by Bond has a great rose in it.Also peonies which softens it. Answer: if I may add mascara, I tested Rose Absolue by Annick Goutal, indeed the eau de toilette has an english fragrance feel to it, a true rose without FDTRB 's harshness but the parfum version (hard to find now) has more body, a more velvety rose, less "english" Answer: Not English - but Bulgari Rose Essentielle brings it to mind. Second the Penhaligon's. Answer: I'm ashamed to admit I thought Creed was an American brand. Thirded on the Penhaligon's. It's one of the nicest roses.
