Question:
I'm starting this thread because I think it might be useful for the younger guys here.
So old timers — i.e. everyone who can look back fondly to being 20 — what do you wish you had worn when you were that age, chosen from all the frags that are available from then to now?
At the time I wore Eau Sauvage. I wish that I had been able to wear Balenciaga PH. It would have fitted me much better than ES (which was wrong for me, I just didn't know it).

I longed for Bel Ami, JHL, Acqua di Parma (I think), Derby, and Aramis Devin when I was in my late teens. Wish I had had them then and when I turned 20.
I wore Eau Sauvage, Habit Rouge, Guerlain Vetiver, Z-14, and 1-12 then.

When I was twenty I only wore Calvin. I'm twice that age now but not inclined to second guess my actual choice. It was a good year.

In my 20's I wore Andron by Jovan almost exclusively. It was an amazingly good fragrance for a killer price. It still is an amazingly good fragrance but since it is so rare, it goes for about $100/oz rather then the $7.99/oz I paid for it then. I would likely have kept using the Andron but I would like to have added Givenchy Gentleman, JHL and Yatagan to that list.

This is an interesting and tricky question has I didn't know as much about frags when I was younger than I know now.
I'm 23 but if I could turn back time, back in High School, I would have dropped the Axe (OMG, I can't believe I wore that stuff everyday) for a bottle of Polo Blue or CK Be.

Outstanding question, but damn I feel old. Fragrances available at the time I was 20 that I wish I'd known about include Antaeus and Cacharel PH. Back then (mid 80s), I didn't wear fragrance because I didn't think there any on the market that I liked.
Scents that came along later that I wish I'd had include CdG Kyoto, Tam Dao, and Dolce and Gabbana PH.

Nothing. I was happily wearing Jacomo de Jacomo while everyone else in La Jolla was wearing Drakkar Noir. It (Jacomo) was a killer scent in every regard and perfect for my age and the time then. For variety, I also occasionally wore Halston Z-14 and I-12.
