When to put on cologne...stay with me here.lol
Question:
Starting out the day most of us...I would like to think ALL of us shower. Now, you guys know the logistics of ingredients in cologne. Should you immediately put on cologne right after you dry off while your pores are open OR put it on just before you leave the house. It may sound crazy but I think it's a legit question. Different ingredients work better on dry skin maybe rather than moist skin? Chemistry is an amazing field and it rules the fragrance community. People wear colognes differently, one person smells different when wearing the same cologne as the other, ya know? Givenchy, Gautier, and Aramis..all those are heavy ass scents. I stay away from them as well as the bug repelleant smelling scents. I truly find that after showering and putting on any shirt for the morning or afternoon it is a good time to wear your daytime cologne. It gets a chance to "fade" nicely and wear off a bit. I think I speak for many when back in the day all the fellas would spritz before leaving to go out, get in the one car and almost pass out! lol Smelled like a French whore house in the car, sinuses were overwhelmed. My point is spraying your choice early to really let it dry and fade nicely rather than just before you close the door to leave. lol I dont think anyone can lose or hate for that matter, the Polo back in the day or the sporty light colognes, they cant offend cause there light and sporty not overpowering. What say you guys? Answer: Shower Pat dry Apply body moisturizer Apply shave cream Apply fragrance-free deodorant/antiperspirant Nail care (if needed) Shave Apply facial moisturizer Dry hair Floss/brush teeth 1 spray of fragrance to chest Put on t-shirt Apply remainder of fragrance (1 spray to front of t-shirt, 2 to neck, 1 to left inner forearm/wrist & transfer to right side) Get dressed not that a have a routine or anything... Answer: lol lol lol Hey I have afriend who to this day uses at least 6 to 8 spritzes from his waist to his head, homey goes through cologne like its going out of style because he uses sooo much. I'm a 3 spritzer anyhting over that is too much. Answer: I'd like to see the person that could use up some of these Basenoter's collections in a lifetime. - Rich Answer: Originally Posted by corydallas Shower Pat dry Apply body moisturizer Apply shave cream Apply fragrance-free deodorant/antiperspirant Nail care (if needed) Shave Apply facial moisturizer Dry hair Floss/brush teeth 1 spray of fragrance to chest Put on t-shirt Apply remainder of fragrance (1 spray to front of t-shirt, 2 to neck, 1 to left inner forearm/wrist & transfer to right side) Get dressed not that a have a routine or anything... Yes,yes, yes!!! This is the ADVICE OF THE YEAR, guys, trust this man,he knows what he`s talking Answer: Originally Posted by Vivienleigh Yes,yes, yes!!! Answer: For me, the rule is, never apply a cologne-type scent over perspiration. Something about the particular cologne notes makes them go very sour if applied on a sweaty bod! Answer: I apply my scent at the last moment after I shower, etc...but right BEFORE I put my clothes on. Works for me Answer: Some people say that you should wait a while because you've just washed off all of the natural body oils that would mix with the scent. I like to do it right after a shower because I like to be clean. I'm not a re-applier because I need that "out of the shower" feeling. I think that it doesn't make much of a difference because your oils will come back evenutally and mix with the scent. I spray on my shirt too. Answer: Right after I put my hot pot on to boil (for shaving), I apply deodorant and brush my teeth, then it's off to my bedroom to lay out clothes, select and apply a fragrance directly to my chest, put on underwear and undershirt and then go back to the bathroom to shave(by then the water is hot). Then it's dress, fill the pockets and leave. It's uncommon for me to apply fragrance twice in one day. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
