If you had $150... - Page 3
Question:
I'd cough up another $50 and get Ichnusa by Profumum. That's a very personal choice though. Go visit Le Labo. If you don't like any of them enough, get a Malle.

Answer:
I would have to buy the perfume version of Lorenzo Villoresi's Uomo. I have no idea what it costs though, no website wants to give this information away for some reason. Then again, I don't know if I need it since EdT is quite perfect, maybe Carnal Flower would be better choice... or maybe both masculine Divine scents...
No, I would have to buy yet another set of decants, too many scents I can't live without yet don't want to spend all my money on (pathetic Basenoter I am, I know)

Answer:
gulp. Looks like I'd have to raise my budget if I like Carnal Flower. Damn. I had no idea the small bottle was $180. That irritates me a bit. But Musc Ravageur is 120 so theres still hope.
No Bond for me this time as I know it will probably be a big stop on the itinerary at Sniffapalooza - but then again, so will all of the others I'm sure. Furthermore - Im not really sure there's a Bond that I want at the moment. Fire Island will probably be purchased by the time Summer comes along. I've recently come to like it after loathing it at first. My original thought was
"Who the hell wants to smell like suntan lotion?" Now if someone asked me that question, I'd have to begrudginly raise my hand. I do. I want to smell like suntan lotion. Although on me that changes rather quickly.
Le Labo, Barneys and Bergdorfs are my destinations this weekend, all of the others will have to wait till Sniffa.
Although - its been a while since Ive been to Barneys - am I to understand I can purchase Le Labo THERE?? All except the Tuberose?

Answer:
After touring New York, buy decants of the 10 or so scents that interest you the most. Then you can have 10 scents at once and take the time to figure out what you really love. Definately beats blowing it all on one scent that you will inevitably get bored with, no matter how good it is.

Answer:
Well, bored is one thing I rarely get with fragrances b/c I simply have too many and I rotate heavily, very often. Call me crazy - but decants have never really been my thing. I can't ever justify spending the money on them - I think if anything, decants are overpriced. $24.95 for 5mLs all I would be thinking is - "Christ, I should just have gone the distance." But thats me for you.

Answer:
I think the two I'd want most in that general price range would be Montale's Patchouli Leaves and Parfum d'empire's Ambre Russe. They're both ones I like very much but just can't make myself bite the bullet and go for it...

Answer:
yes I need to get to Aedes and try BOTH of those lines. I have a few Montale samples but they're not really what I want in a fragrance to begin with so they don't grab my attention.
Alas, Aedes will have to wait till the end of March.

Answer:
I think that you can buy Guerlain's Bois d'Armenie in NY only in the US (besides in Paris).
It's an amazing scent. If anything, get to the store just to sniff it (I think it's either exclusively at Nordstroms or Barneys NY).
Sorry, not sure about the price...

Answer:
Is having the bottle a big deal for you?
If not, you could buy the travel refills at Barneys ... The Carnal Flower runs $110 for 3 10ml spray bottles, the Musc Ravageur is $70 for the same 3x10ml sprays ... I don't think you have to use the travel case for the refills to work. (It's $120 without the refills, BTW.)

Answer:
I would buy a bottle of Mazzolari Lui! Yes, sir, I would!
