Room Sprays: Suitable as Cologne?
Question:
I picked up a bottle of MPG Outremer which is from there Parfum A pulveriser (ambience) line. It's really quite lovely if maybe a tad bit strong (sillage to fill, well, a room I suppose)
I am tempted to try a bit on the wrists...
<spritz> <spritz>
There... hmmm... not bad. *
Anyone else here ever worned room sprays?
Griff

Answer:
I've been wanting to try the Costes room spray this way ever since I read that the Aedes owners use it this way.
When I went to Aedes a few weeks ago, they were sold out.

Answer:
I want to test Costes room spray too, and Luckyscent doesn't seem to have it either :/

Answer:
Room spray as a cologne?
But of course, dear Griff - I've been wearing Glade for ages!
'It talks when you can't.'

Answer:
I regularly wear MPG Outremer and Vanille Gousse, Diptyque Saffron and Galliano and have worn Annick Goutal, Creed and L'Artisan room sprays...some of the best are Herve Gambs - my favorites are the Brown Tea and Mint Tea scents!
Often, room sprays are less expensive, just as wonderful, and about the same concentration...

Wow, never thought room sprays could be worn.
Hey, anybody try Febreeze?

I thought the main reason we wear room sprays was because labelling something as an EDT was more expensive that labelling the same thing as a room freshener? For tax purposes? Or there were import quotas on EDTs? Something like that?
The clerk at L'Occitane freaked when I sprayed myself with a vetiver room spray.

Answer:
Worn on skin I'm very interested in how sillage and duration of room sprays compare to edts. I'm so glad some of you have experience with this.
Are room sprays generally longer lasting on the skin, do they project aggressively?
Thanks,

--Chris It depends on the product you're using...My Savonnerie Bormes sprays are non-alcoholic while my Herve Gambs are 80%...
I'm not advocating you douse yourself in a Glade air fresherner, I'm talking about parfums d'ambiance and the like from niche fragrance houses. Villoresi is another great line with room sprays - the Tobacco is just wonderful and lasts forever on me!

Answer:
I was told once NO! Room sprays can be toxic to the skin and actually are not healthy to inhale directly :-X They are not colognes!
