New Calvin Klein CKin2U
Question:
how come nobody speaks about what is supposed to be the new CK One? The launch is next week in France, a Sephora exclusivity! Can't copy the image, you can find it here. http://www.bellezapura.com/?cat=4 Answer: I've heard of the launch, too... it should be in March in the US. I don't remember the notes off the top of my head, but I saw a photo and description in the Coty Prestige launch book that the SA at Macy's shared with me. All I remember is that the men's one will be a "energetic oriental" (whatever that means). Answer: 'Energetic oriental' ((laughing)) - sounds like Margaret Cho (the comedienne)! Answer: I just got to try this today at Macy's. My impression was pretty positive - and I don't generally get excited about Calvin Klein stuff. It has a pleasing fresh type of feel, some soapiness, but just enough of a wood basenote to temper the fresh top. I would wear it (though I didn't buy it yet). I would say modern without being overly stereotyped. Maybe a good daytime fragrance? I look forward to other opinions! I just took a look on the Sephora site, and interestingly, that's how they described it, more or less. Caveat - this is off the tester card - I didn't get to give it a full wearing. But nine times out of ten, if I like it off the card, it's good on me. Cheers, Dave Answer: Got a sample from Sephora. Me like this one after the 1st wearing, a very pleasant suprise after the disappointment of Euphoria. Somewhat fizzy lime opening that dries down to light woody/patchouli accord. Longevity is average but sillage appears to be below average. Answer: I picked up a sample at a local mall, and while I can't say I'm disappointed, it hasn't made any kind of positive impression on me. "Whatever" was my reaction. It smells a little bit oriental, a little bit fresh, a little bit woody...a prime example of "same old stuff". Answer: I have two samples of this from Nordstroms...not impressive, rather typical. MCocteau, u can find in the search options some threads talking about the new release... 50% like it ,. 50% hate it... Answer: I actaully quite like this one as well - wear it together with CK IN2U for her and the result is gorgeous! Anyways, the male version has a slightly fizzy, dreamy, metallic, and nutty quality to it for me all at once (strange much?). The nutty scent is very prevalent on my skin - I'm not sure sure what it is, really. But it seems to be marketed towards younger men - it's definitely somewhat typical.
