Which of the Aqua Allegoria scents is best? - Page 2
Question:
Just saw this.
I think the best was Flora Nerolia, a lovely interpretation of neroli and jasmine notes, although too feminine for most guys.
Winter Delice was also a great frag, don't know why they discontinued them.

Answer:
Personally, from the Aqua Allegoria range, I plan never to be without:
Winter Delice - My #1 HG must have from this range. I loved it when it was first released and I have loved it each winter ever since. I will continue to do so...
Gentiana
Herba Fresca
Pamplelune
I own a few others (Lemon Fresca, Orange Magnifica, Ylang et Vanille) but have a lot more to try...

Answer:
how would you categorize the strength of the line? Cologne or EDT?

Answer:

All of the ones created by Jean Paul Guerlain himself. I would rank the first 4 equally as outstanding fragrances and the last two behind the first four as above average.
Aqua Allegoria Lavande Velours
Aqua Allegoria Rosa Magnifica
Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca
Aqua Allegoria Mentafolia
Aqua Allegoria Ylang & Vanille
Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune
Aqua Allegoria Winter Delice is a very interesting fragrance, but it's certainly not one for the faint-hearted. Everything added to the Aqua Allegoria series in the last few years seem to me generally to be facile and gimmicky.

But I also voted for Winter Delice and Pamplelune. You are not the only one my friend, I am a huge Aqua Allegoria Mentafollia fan!

Answer:
I'll chime in for Mentafollia. One of my favorites on really hot days when I want something refreshing.
I also own Winter Delice ... I haven't found anything quite like this -- pine and gingerbread. It would also make a great seasonal room spray.

Answer:
My favorite is Pamplelune, with honorable mention to Herba Fresca and Mentafolia.

I was pleased to acquire Winter Delice last year, but find it unfinished, raw, and not as harmonius as I wish it was. Each note stands out on its own, and it has a "rough texture," if that makes sense, on my sniffer. The similar CdG EDP is only a little better blended in this regard, and my biggest complaint about it is also that it is rough and not as smooth as it could be.

Hi, Scentemental!
