My Mitsouko...
Question:
I know there has been much discussion on the reformulation of Mitsouko as they're many fans of this fragrance on this site...I just bought a bottle from FragranceNet, and wondered on the possibility that it's a pre-reformulation bottle??? I don't know the exact time when the reformulation was done...what do you think? All the old bottles have probably been snapped up right? Answer: Supposedly the last reformulaton was done in 2006. There's really no way to be sure if you got the new one. I wish perfume bottles had dates on them. Since I was the one who compared the new and old, I want to reassure you that the reformulations have been going on for decades, a little at a time. The newest changes are not a huge difference. You should still like it, especially in the parfum concentration, which allows the peach to come out faster. I still own and love Mitsouko, and I do believe I have the new EDT and the parfum. Yes, the vintage stuff is gorgeous, but you never know what year you are getting, or what condition the fragrance is in. And, it is a limited supply. My tactic is to buy the new one in parfum form and apply alot, so the peach is nice and strong by the time it dries down. It is still a great fragrance. Please enjoy it, regardless of the year of formulation. Answer: I can't wait till I receive my Mitsouko in the mail...I'm sure it'll still be wonderful. I haven't sampled the perfume, I'll have to save my pennies for that ) Answer: Hi Purplebird. You said you have the EDT. I understand that the parfum is the concentration best loved by Mitsouko fans. Can you tell me what you think of the EDT? Can it hold its own as a fragrance? I'm not talking about the vintage formulation - once the vintage supply is gone I will have nothing to fall back on if I love it. Answer: serene111, you're the one that got my Mitsouko. Was it 2.5 oz EDP. LOL Anyway, when looking for the EDP now, I just feel lucky I was able to find it. Mine's in the mail again. Mine's in the mail again. It wasn't me :P I got 1oz of the EDT. I purchased it from FragranceNet,it was very inexpensive! with the discount it was only $18.90. Fingers crossed, I'm curious to see what the quality is like.... Answer: Originally Posted by MysteryFemme I understand that the parfum is the concentration best loved by Mitsouko fans. Absolutely agree with you, it is important to love the new one instead of pining for the old one. Yes, the old one was great. So is the new one, it is just different. To answer your question: If you will like the EDT depends on how much you like wood. The EDT is drier in the first phase after application, the wood is more dominant. The parfum allows the peach to come in faster. So, my recommendation for a first-time user is, buy the parfum. A 1/4 oz. bottle of parfum doesn't cost any more than the 1.7 oz. EDT. So buy the small size of parfum, get the strongest concentration. I think this is the best way to go. Answer: i have tried the edp and the edt and i think i might actually prefer the edt. well i have a 75 ml bottle of the edp and it was a 1 ml decant of edt that i had a long time ago so as of now i am exclusively wearing the edp, which i also love, but to me the edt feels in a way more subtle, somehow. i don't mean that it smells less strong or less interesting, but the complexity is more hidden, ? or am i just bsing, who knows Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
