Maintaining patent leather
Question:
I love shiny things so naturally i have alot of patent leather items, shoes in particular. I've been told that patent tends to lose their shine after a period of time. So how does one maintain patent? Is there a product that will help keep it shiny and also clean (from fingerprints)? TIA Answer: I heard Vaseline was good for it? Answer: i heard vaseline too! i've got a pair of red patent miu miu shoes that i bought about 3 years ago and they are still perfect- I always keep my shoes boxed and wrapped in paper which i guess helps. i think this would be important for patent especially, as friction with other leather could cause scuffing. Answer: yes there is a white coloured cream (they sell at shoe repair places) to treat patent leather (all colours) it keeps the leather moisterised so it doesnt crack and maintains the shine of the patent Answer: Does anyone know if this would work on the LV Vernis line? Answer: there is a special cream that i have at home which is wonderful, it can be used on any items that are vinyl and not leather as well as patent - its wonderful and i swear by it. Answer: Bumping up - does anyone know the specific name of the products to care for patent leather? Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
