Do synthetic shoes stretch?
Question:
I really needed a pair of red heels to match this dress and I didn't want to spend up big on a pair of heels I'll only wear once or twice so I bought a pair of cheap peep toe heels. Problem is they're so tight! I need them to stretch a little before I wear them out, question is, will synthetic shoes stretch a little? Any tips on stretching them? I'm trying the thick sock trick but I've heard it takes ages. Answer: I'm sure they'll mould into your feet eventually if you keep wearing them. Try wearing them around the house before you wear them out. Unfortunately I don't have any tips in stretching them... I'm not sure if the newspaper trick works for Synthetic shoes.. Best of luck! Answer: Yes, the definately do, I noticed today that I was walking out of a pair of synthetic ballet flats that once-upon-a-time were too tight. I have an idea they stretch in width but not length? Try wearing them around the house with the thickest pair of socks you can find (hiking boot style) Answer: I didn't think synthetic shoes stretched Answer: I wouldn't call it stretching, but they do become more "floppy"? The material they're made of just becomes to the foot and being worn over time so it wont be as stiff as when you first bought them, but unfortunately they dont give anywhere near as much as leather! Answer: Every pair of cheap flats I've bought have been really tight at first but end up waaaay too big after a few months! That's why I thought the heels would be the same. Answer: Check with a bootmaker & see whether stretching spray works with synthetic shoes. I think Shoo Biz or Scooter sells the spray. HTH Answer: They might stretch a little or simply tear apart.
