I really don't like this look..and I think it's definitely a fad here in Australia. I don't remember seeing anyone doing this here 5 years ago, so would argue that it ain't a 'classic look'. Sure, people may have been doing it in Europe and Japan for years..but then again, the climate in these places is cold enough to make it a necessity. I can think of few places in Australia where it gets cold enough to make tucking your jeans into your boots a necessity.
Also, if warmth is a factor, how come people do it in summer?

definitely wearing it - I am not into "fads" but I will be wearing it because:
- it's so warm and I soooo feel the cold
- makes your legs look soooo long
- is sexy, my hubby drools
- i love the look

People in Australia have always been tucking jeans into boots - you just haven't been paying attention. My mum for example has been doing it the last 20yrs !
Unless your from sunny QLD where its warm all year round but the rest of Australia are ACTUALLY cold during the winter and being from Sydney I need to tuck my jeans into my boots for extra warmth !

My boy loves me in what he calls my "dominatrix boots", but they're far from that! They're pointy, black leather knee highs with a stiletto heel. So yes, I'll still be wearing them, most definitely!
